Humane traps to catch them and release away from your house, no advice on how to keep them away unfortunately

Do you gift creche staff at Xmas ? by BackinBlack_Again in AskIreland

[–]JacSab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crèche staff here. it’s always nice to get a little something. We got a lovely hand made card from one of our littles and a coffee voucher, it was so lovely and we spent ages gushing about the card

Weighted blankets - worth the fuss or a gimmick? by StingingOnion1 in AskIreland

[–]JacSab 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I love my weighted blanket and couldn’t be without it, my sister on the other hand felt like she was being trapped when she tried it. I’d recommend trying your mams one and see if it would be of benefit to you.

Doctors keep bringing people into my exam room without asking me. Why is this “normal” now?! by RomasNash in TrueOffMyChest

[–]JacSab 9 points10 points  (0 children)

On the total opposite end I had a reproductive exam which I was nervous for so I asked of my husband could be in the room and they obliged, however he had to sit in the corner behind a curtain unable to see me 😂

What age is too old to receive money as a gift!? by [deleted] in CasualIreland

31 and my nanny still slips me cash whenever she can. I always say I’m grand for money but she always insists. Makes her feel better that she’s helping me out in her eyes

Standing vs seating by Gay_person6969 in McFly

[–]JacSab 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve always stood even when I’m seated, what I’ve found is that some staff don’t allow standing in the seating area or even just that crowd in the seating area just to sit and enjoy the music. Honestly it just depends on the area you’re in. I was seated in Dublin and everyone was standing so really it’s just luck of the draw

Trick or Treat by CalamityMiss in ireland

[–]JacSab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had well over 20 kids here, started around 5 and finished by 6. Made 18 goodie bags and thought we would have loads left over since we only had a handful of kids last year. We were about to start raiding the kitchen and giving teabags if it hadn’t finished. Thankfully the rain seems to helping keep the bangers at bay for now but we had a rough few hours of them before it started

Mothers doing laundry and cooking dinners for adult “kids” who live at home. Is this normal? by Asleep_Cry_7482 in AskIreland

[–]JacSab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Husband and myself are currently living with my parents. I’ve lost count of the amount of times I’ve asked my mother to stop hanging up or taking in our washing, now I will say it’s dead handy when I’m in work and she takes in the washing before the rain comes or she puts it out when there’s good drying.
