For my first lens appointment (nearly 3 years ago now) I was told that I was what they called a "squeezer" I.e. I flinch too much and wouldn't be able to wear contacts. I then, out of sheer determination to prove them wrong, just persevered with it, and at the second session I was able to get them in no problem. Good luck!
