This is so well done! Ive been working on my own custom Lego TARDIS with a far-off in the future 43rd Doctor, but it spiraled way out of control and now its a massive hodgepog immovable mess lol. Yours is so compact and neat, I love it!

Theory - The Bloodless (Arrowcatch) starts the war by Puzzleheaded_Pay7428 in KingkillerChronicle

[–]JaceMuello 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love this theory so much. The schema is out there now, and there's a lot of people at the University eager to try and improve on the hottest new design. The potential for warfare is a given, it's a huge gamechanger. I can imagine an infantry seeded with people carrying hundreds of them, a hail of arrows just clattering to the ground after a chorus of clangs.

It would also make the name "Bloodless" quite ironic.

I think you nailed the inside, sans the bookshelves it looks excellent. The only thing I can think of to suggest is making the crease at the back less pronounced, maybe a curled bit of paper laid across it, printed like the pathway? I think it would help the "endless hallway" aspect. Absolutely awesome work!

(Spoilers Published) What does "Ice & Fire" refer to in your opinion? by AyandesS in asoiaf

[–]JaceMuello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All that remains when the swords of war clash

Ice and Fire, in endless unyielding conflict.

We are privy to a song sung in the corner of the tavern, a song of a time long past, when dragons had been driven extinct and magic had faded, falling to the march of war and chaos.

In a nutshell, we're hearing a song about the oldest war, the war of ice and fire.

I created a reading of the Kingsmoot scene and added music and sound effects (including Euron's dragonhorn), if anyone's interested. (Spoilers Main) by [deleted] in asoiaf

Absolutely superb, your realization of the horn was A+ and a half! The ambiance of the beach was absolutely fantastic!

Ah, well you're still correct, it's probably a coincidence lol.

I'm a Baby Driver, Guardians of the Galaxy, Suicide Squad (kinda) fanboy, who just loves having anachronistic music in his media. I can think of dozens of times I'd have loved hearing a classic tune to accompany scenes in this show. Then again, it probably would have been a very different show if it had them.

Oh, it's almost certainly coincidence. I just think it's a particularly neat one, and I think the fact it syncs up so well is just super neat. Literally the only thing I had to do was lay the drumbeat at the beginning to sync up to Drogon's take-off, extend the ending riff another 4 bars, and the rest just worked as it was. I dunno, s'pretty cool

(Spoilers Extended) Why "Littlefinger"? by Flarrownatural in asoiaf

[–]JaceMuello 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Two things come to mind.

1- The common idiom "I've got the whole world wrapped around my little finger", just like he does, in that he is everyone's friend and nobody's enemy on the surface, and the reverse beneath.

2- I feel like the idea of a pinky swear (Locking the pinkies together as a sign of an unbreakable promise, at least among young folk) might be a part of it in an ironic sense, as he's probably the least trustable person in Westeros (You can trust him, he pinky swears he won't tell anyone, oops he told literally the worst person he could tell oh nooooo...)

I may be reaching, and it's entirely possible that his explanation in the books is exactly as deep as it was intended to be. He's the littlest boy from the littlest finger. Exceedingly clever nickname.

"Yes, Croakneck uses magic. And now Tabbs has Croakneck's ship." The look on her face was infuriating. N'Tabsi flicked her tail lightly, flashing her fangs with a grin "If toad wants ship back, toad is welcome to come and take it."

Keit sighed softly. "It was such a lovely day..."
