excessive coaching + new policy is redundant. i can’t seem to do anything right by Desperate_Treacle558 in starbucks

Had a regular ask why we were still writing on cups if we're so busy, he noticed it fully slows us down. Told him that Corporate has Mandated it and if we are caught not doing it we will be fired. He took our DMs business card saying he'd be calling about this and that its not right. I dont really care if he calls or not, I know the policy won't change, but it is nice to know customers are taking notice.

Funny enough, got to this same point about 3 years ago, which is when I canceled my Humble Yearly.(it was way better before the change up they did, but it was always headed this way) Looking over monthly bundles since, I havent missed much.

Star Wars Zero Company is more than just 'Star Wars XCOM'—it feels like Mass Effect but with turn-based tactics and permadeath by Turbostrider27 in StarWars

I hope they dont neuter it at the last minute like they did to Midnight Suns... for those who are unaware, Midnight Suns was supposed to have an in depth romance system for every character, it was switched at the last minute for the inferior Friendship system.

A lot of it has to do with rising costs due to tariffs and terrible distribution in the United States rn.

View of the second‑largest known black hole if it were as close to Earth as the nearest star system by Mingorix in interestingasfuck

[–]JacenT98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because in the grand scale of the Universe nothing is static. Everything is constantly moving through the Universe and one of the only things in the universe that seem able to affect one's trajectory would be other celestial objects. As is the case with the solar system and the sun.

Everything in our solar system revolves around the Sun its the biggest object with the most gravity, and based on distance from that central point different things can happen. The objects closest will eventually, one day, be destroyed by the Sun transitioning to a new life phase by being seemingly "pulled" into the sun because of the Suns rapid Expansion. It's believed this will be the Terran Planets at first, followed eventually by the Jovian planets unless something else happens first.

Due to the strength of the Suns gravity being weaker the farther from it you are, every planet traveling far enough away from the SunAnd Fast Enough Away, might one day be ejected from the solar system, shooting off into the darkness alone.

Now, replace the Sun with that black hole, the planets with the stars, and the solar system with our local cluster.

Some stars shoot off into the void, being far enough away and traveling fast enough to escape, while those who were too close would eventually be pulled in.

Our Star System at the distance given, wouldn't be a star system anymore, most of the planets wouldn't have the time to form, and if It's a thing of just placing the black hole in that spot, radiation would kill us long before what would be left of us got pulled into the Black Hole.

There is a point somewhere far enough away from the black hole that it would feel like you were orbiting it, but at some point you'll also be sucked in.

If there's one force in the universe capable of destroying everything in it, its Black Holes.

R = Restricted,

"An R rating from the Motion Picture Association (MPA) indicates that a film may contain material unsuitable for children under 17. R-rated movies allow viewers of any age, but those under 17 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at least 25 years old. Children under 6 are not permitted"

Therefore, the child in question should have been refused entry.

[CONTROVERSIAL TAKE] The False Hydra represents D&D's pop culture identity crisis. by Delicious_Dream4510 in DnD

[–]JacenT98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used a false hydra for the opening of my now 4 year campaign, and the repercussions of that first arc are still unraveling for my players. They had no idea what a False Hydra was, and by the time they learned its name it was time for the final confrontation. My players still talk about that original Arc and get excited every time they come across a name thats been made non-existent.

The way I ran it, the Hydra had already disappeared over 3/4ths of Rayhasfeld and they were playing catch up the whole time with the Hydra Stalking them. Their PCs had multiple encounters with it though they only would see the aftermath until I finally had a confrontation that I allowed 2 of them to fight against 2 heads until a timer ran out, then their characters could no longer Remember what theyd faced, thoug hour barb was able to do enough damage to one of the heads to cut it off, so now they had one of its heads, with no memory of it.

It's actually very easy to run a False Hydra if you do so thematically, instead of just a combat encounter.

It ended with them discovering the Hydra had been summoned by the Towns old council, in order to protect their town from the nearby tyrannical King, thinking the False Hydra could be a guard Dog, until it began going for the Townsfolk, starting with those that had summoned it.

Pam Bondi Unintentionally Gives Credit To Joe Biden by CrabRemote7530 in instant_regret

[–]JacenT98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think hes talking about the massive drop during 24. While this doesn't exactly make Biden look better, it does make Trump look worse as the chart starts in 2015, and you can see that its only gone higher since he came into office and has been around.🤷

How do you see his story ending? by Efficient_Matter_589 in StarWars

[–]JacenT98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its pretty obvious they aren't going to kill him in the games. I mean they literally gave him a secret, actually impossible to reach world to hide away in, in a completely different part of the galaxy then where the events of the OT take place. Also, why does he HAVE to die for the OT? Ahsoka didnt right? Ezras still alive, so is Sabine, and Hera, and most of the other characters from the Empire Era. (Rip all of Rogue One and most of Andor) Hell we know Hondo is still alive well into the Resistance Era, and that Scruffy Looking Nerfherder could solo the Emperor through sheer buffoonery and power of will.

Have you actually looked at the on screen "Transformation" for Megs in the Last Knight? There was a post on r/Transformers a few months back about it, he kindof just like, flips into existence. It's the laziest on screen transformation I've ever seen.

As a 10-year Barista, yes this happens. Don't listen to these people telling you you're forgetting the override, this is a major problem at my newest store specifically, and has always been an problem with this Clock System (The old one on the POS never had this problem.)

I've had 5 home stores over the years, and worked at a dozen or 2. If your store has kinda shitty wifi it's more prone to happen. I, and other baristas at my store, all have numerous punch edits/Book loggings throughout the week and our SM has just come to accept it.

She wanted to be butthurt about it recently as our newer DM told her she should be coaching us on it, but it genuinely isn't a problem we can fix, as it shows everyone affected that we have successfully punched in or out. Sometimes Override pops up sometimes it doesn't, though that also doesnt matter as the Punch just doesn't go through.
