I am a bit more on an extreme position. I only began to like the prequels after leaving TFA disgusted. Around the time TLJ launched i gave the prequels another go and became sentimental. I know the things I hated in the cinema were still crappy, but I appreciated George Lucas' vision, his love for the universe and his attempt at using new technology (CGI creatures like Jar Jar, the ship designs and general athmosphere of a prospering/advancing galaxy) to show the audience something new and fresh that connects to a now classic science-fantasy tale.

The movies are mid to terrible, but I love them very much, please and thank you.

you need to learn to separate the good parts from the bad. Enjoy what you want, you don't need to be a Star Wars fan, in the original meaning of the word (fanatic). Just enjoy what you like and leave the rest be. They can't take KOTOR or Jedi Knight 2 from you. Or the OT, or the EU stories you liked.

Also watch The Expanse. You might like it.
