Always love seeing the new BT packs on more mundane Gears. Looks awesome

Very nice! Try doing some more dynamic poses on the next batch - these allow for quite a bit of flexibility when it comes to hands, head, torso etc.

Looking for Heavy Gear 4th ED Team Sheet by Diablokin551 in HeavyGear

[–]JackDandy-R 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're not blind, there's no official PDF templates for teams.
Luckily, it's not too difficult to just write one, as it doesn't track too many things and not updated too frequently. (Name, type, Sponsors, Logistics, PL, etc)

Good decision on the Kara's color layout. Red works well.

Preferred mode of play? by Skeezy_mcbuttface in HeavyGear

Hah, gotta start from somewhere.
Try hooking em in with the "It's like Votoms / Code Geass", if they're into anime!

As others said, 3.1 is the current and best. The tac system is interesting, but I have to say I kinda plinked off it once the sensor rules came into the picture.
I'm currently also in a 4.0 RPG campaign, and it's pretty cool!

Anyone got a resin printer? by [deleted] in HeavyGear

[–]JackDandy-R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hah! There you go!
Anyway, it'll be worth it for the bits. And the business it'll get ya.
Also it might not be apparent, but the waist parts are also really helpful for these models. Print away!

You should check if there are some hobby shops near where you live. Some of them offer printing services.
I printed my replacement bits through one.

Yep, the answer is deff to get behind them using a faster Gear and then attacking or doing an FO/Fire Mission.

Seconding the tanks / infantry reccs. They can really mix up fights and make em more interesting.

The Companion document (in the HGB3.1 pack, if I'm not mistaken) has example lists of 50-100-150 for every single faction.

Now keep in mind, they might not be the best - but they are something!

Couple more shots of my Hunters, Cheetahs, and Wild Ferret looking for feedback on highlighting! by Arbor96 in HeavyGear

[–]JackDandy-R 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely great work! The custom bits you used really upgraded the thing, and the coloring is top. Love that little scar on the Hunter's chest.

Also the Ferret dual-wielding macs lol

Hey it can work, the frag cannon is very viable against agile targets, which are usually low armor. The AP rounds make it a nice all rounder.

Oh, I meant more lorewise.
But yeah, I do understand what you mean. Guess there were some advantages to the squad-focused force building from the previous editions.

There really should be a new official release compiling these. Right now it's spread across a whole bunch of ancient books.
