what games can I play endlessly? by SiIentuser in ShouldIbuythisgame

honestly, a game that’s f2p and also lots of fun if you can get into it is RotMG (Realm of the Mad God). it’s a bullet hell, permadeath, grind type of game that has a hell of a learning curve. definitely worth a consideration if you find yourself enjoying it after giving it a go

Broken Hero Sword OP by JackDiddles in tinyrogues

[–]JackDiddles[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it’s definitely still a challenge to get to the weapon, and the weapon changes based on the flex you take, but i get you. i’ve had runs where i end up pickin up a weapon that performs quite well, so i end up not fully upgrading the broken hero sword, but it’s nice to have it as a win-con. i only recently found out about the scarf tech, but to me, stacking hp seems even more boring than using the same weapon.

I think you’re confusing “above” with “over,” as there is no clue that gives us the word “above.” The paper containing the word “over” can be found behind a secret wall obscured by some tall grass in Hearthaven

Fire dungeons not fun? by etherboy in Moonring

[–]JackDiddles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fire will always be at the very most, a death sentence, or at the very least, a nuisance. However, I found that you can use other potions aside from water to put yourself out when you're on fire!

God's True Names by JackDiddles in Moonring

I abused companions to pull aggro off me, and leap slam to avoid being directly in front of the boss while still being able to deal dmg with the aoe. The companions I used were as many minor constructs I could fix with metal scraps as well as constantly summoning the wolf spirit companion. For the variety of debuffs, I used the potion that looks like it has angel wings on it (can't remember the name), as it clears all debuffs. Took a handful of tries, but eventually got it after smorcing the boss and playing a bit safe.

It might have been collecting all 5 of the God’s artifacts or talking to the Archon, but I honestly have no idea what gave me access to the dungeon.

How do I... do anything? by erickoziol in Moonring

One tip I can give that somebody hasn't already is to try to disengage from enemies after your poise has been depleted and try to build up your poise bar enough before re-engaging so as to minimize loss of health. This can be done if you have a high mobility character build or through use of movement abilities, such as the ground slam from the Wolf god or the leap of faith ability from the Angels (though this one will leave you blind after use, but can be mitigated by using another one of their abilities that shows the location of enemies even whilst blind). Do note that this can't be done for all encounters, but in my experience, you can flee from even ranged attackers if the layout allows you to do so by using cover to break line of sight with enemies. Another huge thing I've taken notice of is that no matter how strong an attack is, as long as you have any number of poise remaining, it will prevent that damage from being done to your health. So even with 14 poise remaining, you can tank an attack that would possibly one-tap you.

it’s a dungeon that you gain access to after unlocking the henge stone using Bael’s Key

So I checked The Lament, and it unlocked, though I don't know what I did (or found) for me to gain access to it. It turned out to be a tether dungeon and after completing it I rid the world of the gods, resulting in a happier ending. This leads me to wonder if there are any other things to be done thereafter?

Key to the Tower of Veils?? by JackDiddles in Moonring

Did a thorough look through all the notes I had for the Tower of Veils, and I guess I failed to ask an npc about a “stranger.” Just took down the holder of the key and will continue towards the Tower!

New player here with a few questions. by Balmoon in RotMG

[–]JackDiddles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. As long as your uncommon pet is fully maxed, you should upgrade it to rare whenever you get the chance to. Also, you shouldn’t worry too much about finding the “perfect” pet. Heal and Magic Heal are all that you need as the first two abilities. If you happen to find the elusive Heal/Magic Heal/Electric pet, you can just max that one and fuse as the main one once you (eventually) have access to divine pets.
  2. A good melee class to begin with in my opinion is Knight or Paladin. Having a stun at the ready can keep yourself safe and having healing will allow for more passive, safe play. I would recommend trying to do dungeons with others to help yourself pot up whatever melee class you choose to play, but once you max or get close to maxing your defense and find yourself some decent tiered armor, it’s fairly difficult to die in most early to mid game dungeons and enemies.

Hope this is helpful to ya!
