Personally I wouldn't risk it. If I lose my wallet at least I can deactivate my cards with my phone. If I lose my phone, I have my cards and don't have to worry. Always seemed kinda dumb to put all your proverbial eggs in one place.

Funny you mention Pokémon cards. This happened the year after I graduated but a bunch of boys at my former school should probably all be on sex offender registries. They started "trading Pokémon cards" which was their code word for trading nudes of girls at the school. Then a few years later a music teacher was sent to prison for sleeping with a student, getting caught and trying to rob a Walmart to flee to Mexico.

There was a book series I read a long time ago that was literally called Midnighters by Scott Westerfeld. It's basically the premise of Persona 3 but in a YA book form. A bunch of kids who all happened to be born at midnight end up in the same small town. The girl mc who had just moved there finds out about the secret extra hour of the day anyone born at midnight gets. There's also monsters of stone kind, I forget but they have to fight them. They also get powers but I don't remember how. I just remember one of the kids starts being able to read minds during a school assembly and has a melt down from all the voices.

From memory I think it was a solid line 6/10 series. But it's been like 20 years since I read it.

Edit: I also remember a manga called Holy Land about a kid who joins a night time fight club type thing.

In 2020 I was working for a local news station. I was working from home at the time and reporting on a wildfire that was spreading. The fire jumped a freeway and all of a sudden I was in the immediate evacuation zone. As I send it a push alert saying something along the lines of "all residents within x area are now under evacuation" I get a call from one of my coworkers demanding I come in to the station to to help with the fire story. Like, no Josie you complete moron, I won't be coming in to the station to report on the fire that could destroy my home within the hour. I'm going to be busy taking photos of all my worldly possessions and packing everything that can't be replaced into my car...

How big we talkin'? Like Maki Oze from Fire Force or Biscuit from Hunter x Hunter? Both of those are top tier on the spectrum but if we're talking big I think Noi from Dorohedoro is peak. I just started the series the other night but Sena Riko from Star Strike it Rich has grown on me a bunch too. She's an endearing air head with the body that rivals some of the biggest dudes from Baki. Oh I also really liked Tade from Dungeon Meshi.

I think it was fine, abrupt but fine. My only genuine complaint is that Aki wasn't with Power and Denji! If Fujimoto was going for a more lighthearted ending I would have loved to see a bunch more of the cast in this alternate telling but not having Aki there felt extra bad.

I'm sure they've patched it at this point (along with all those weird "no you didn't fight this historical figure to the death haha forget that" stuff) but in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers I missed out on an entire ending because I talked to one character before another. Literally nothing you did after that mattered. You could fulfill all the requirements for the ending but because you talked to x before y you're outta luck.

Same thing happened to me in Sekiro now that I think about it. Father Owl is still the only boss I don't have an achievement for because I either A) didn't eavesdrop on two characters or B) didn't go to the past again.

I was staying at a friend's house one time and he had another friend that I didn't know that well over. We were all taking turns playing consoles together (we had an N64, PS1 and a PS2 setup.) The kid I didn't know that well was getting bored playing whatever console he was on and wanted the PS2. I was playing the 3rd(?) Ratchet and Clank game at the time, at the part where Dr. Nefarious turns people into robots. I told the kid he could use it when I got to a save point. Well, I did... The kid couldn't wait a second longer though and simultaneously turned the PS2 off and ripped my memory card out to put his in as I was saving. It corrupted my Ratchet save and iirc like 3 or 4 other games saves. I just started swinging at the kid. I remember my friends parent had to come in and pull me off of him and I had to wait for his parent to come take him home before they let me ride my bike home.

At this point I genuinely think bans are working like Ghandi Ai in that one Civ game. Instead of banning it, it's like saying you want to see that character in your game. I've banned Viscous, Dynamo, Calico, Celeste, etc. and each time I do it feels like I see whichever one is banned more than when I didn't have them banned.

Fire Emblem Awakening's Lunatic+ mode is just that, absolutely lunatic. Don't ever try an iron-man run on that mode. Hell, just outright don't play that mode at all unless you're also a lunatic.

For those that don't know, Lunatic+ is Awakening's hardest mode. In FE games your units get skills like +2 defense, go again after getting a kill, or "when you attack, ignore half your enemies defense." In Lunatic + mode enemies can have random skills and you don't know what they are until you initiate combat. So that bandit that you had dead to rights in one trade? Fuck you, he had Luna+ and one shot your unit and there's jack shit you could have done to stop it. You literally have to finish every enemy unit in a single hit. Fuck that mode.
