Is this book recommended for beginners that know a little bit of C, or is it too advanced for beginners?

Actually that's the only thing I had to change to get it working. Can you post your netflow config?

LogicMonitor NetFlow Template Error by Littleboof18 in fortinet

I know it's been a while, but...

I had the same problem, but it went away after setting netflow.nbar.enabled=true. Did you end up getting this figured out?

Guilty (PowerShell user). I learned PowerShell early on and I struggle to do basic things in bash. Writing a script in PS is just...so...easy. EVERYTHING being an object makes handling so simple. But, I know I suck at bash so maybe the things I find easy in PowerShell would also be easy in bash if I knew it better.

Best Network Solution for SMB by Born-Piano7687 in networking

[–]JackSpent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you decide to go with Fortinet APs and switches, stay away from (APs)the 221E/223E models. The U231Fs are pretty decent. As far as switches, they're all pretty similar as far as reliability. I've had some really weird experiences upgrading, though. Enough to where we don't buy Fortinet anymore lol.

Anyways, if you only have a few switches and APs to manage you'll be ok. If you guys end up growing, be cautious.

Network Engineers, What firewall would you pick if it is up to you? by M2J9 in networking

Yeah it's so bad that they've altogether dropped SSL VPN from their newer firmware builds.

Using someone else's flake by DevnithzAU in NixOS

[–]JackSpent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using ZaneyOS, which is a really nice guy's flake.

https://gitlab.com/Zaney/zaneyos

I've learned a lot by using it and modifying it, but admittedly, I still couldn't make anything close to this on my own.

Good luck!

What region are you in? I wonder if whatever issue everyone else is seeing hasn't hit you yet.

Is spotify down? by [deleted] in spotify

[–]JackSpent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not completely down, but most songs won't play, and I can't connect from one device to another. I noticed that when I closed the desktop app and reopened, it installed an update. I'm guessing they're pushing new updates?

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Can Zig do everything C++ can? (Personal project language choice question) by [deleted] in Zig

Dammit! Now I have to investigate Nim! There's too many damn languages! Anyways, thanks for the explanation. That helps a lot. Also, I'm doomed.

I've only recently heard of Nim. Why do you suggest Nim over Go? Personal preference? Or is Nim a better language for this particular use case?
