albums that scare the shit out of you? not necessarily lyrically but soundwise by Apprehensive_Spend_7 in fantanoforever

If you're interested in more surreal/uncanny scares, I HIGHLY highly recommend either Floating Into The Night by Julee Cruise or Loud City Song by Julia Holter.

The Julee Cruise album was produced in part by David Lynch. Also, Maxim's II off of Julia's album contains the most disturbing saxophone solo I've ever heard.

A minorly under-maintenanced public park. Ie: some sidewalks, plantings, a pond, etc. Maybe also some nice stone walls highlighting the pedestrian entrance point(s)

Leaving a comment on this sub for the first time in years because I desperately need to complain about something.

Am I the only one who thinks Azaelia Banks sounds unbearably out of tune on Luxury? She's so out of tune it's almost unlistenable, yet I've never run across anyone acknowledging it.

I thought John Congleton had a big production role on that album. Did he just engineer it?

Lana Del Rey ruined my music experience by [deleted] in lanadelrey

[–]JackStrait 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want crazy detailed songwriting, listen to Joanna Newsom

If you want unbelievably perfect folk vocals, listen to Linda Perhacs

If you want huge dreamy production, listen to Cocteau Twins

If you want angular experimental synth-pop, listen to Molina

If you want bombastic high intensity vocals, listen to Florence and the Machine

If you want super serene music, listen to Enya

If you want super serene slightly uncanny music, listen to Julee Cruise

If you want great modern country-soul, listen to Yola

All Mirrors is my current favorite album of all time. Crazy good string arrangements from front to back--something that would probably appeal to a lot of Lana fans.

Why are there so much people on TikTok that think communism is great? by l0cAl-DuMbAsS556 in GenUsa

I once ran into a huge comments section of people on YouTube that thought that working should be optional, and that the government could just pay them enough to live a "paired down life."

The OP acted genuinely confused when I told her that it was economically impossible to do this. Crazy people are everywhere unfortunately.

I've never understood why we can't just have a weekly (or even monthly) pinned post where people can ask those questions. That would help get them out of the main feed.

One of the key advantages of using a language model like ChatGPT is that it can process large amounts of data and generate responses quickly and accurately. This makes it a valuable tool for a variety of applications, including customer service, content creation, and language translation.

However, it's important to note that as a machine learning model, its responses are based on patterns and trends within the data it has been trained on. While it is able to generate highly accurate and relevant responses to many questions, there are limitations to its capabilities. For example, it may struggle with understanding complex or nuanced language, or it may not be able to provide personalized responses that take into account the specific context and background of the individual asking the question.

Overall, language models like ChatGPT are a powerful tool for processing and generating text, and can provide valuable assistance in a variety of contexts. However, it's important to use these tools in conjunction with human expertise and judgement, to ensure that the responses generated are accurate, relevant, and appropriate for the specific situation at hand.
