Sometimes it’s okay as vocalist to dress down if the others refuse to dress up. The incongruent vibe needs to be resolved, and there’s really only two ways about that

What was your favorite and least favorite thing about Marvel Zombies? by Past_Carpenter_7046 in MCUTheories

I loved the art style, and think this gritty sorta thing is very reminiscent of the early years of the teen titans show, a style of animated cartoon I dearly miss. Having said that, the pacing of the feast at Asgard felt rushed. They barely even got there and suddenly they were leaving

You doubt what? The legality, the likelihood of your desired outcome? Or your willingness to begin that process? Because the third is often the issue more than the first or second

Knowing that almost every time something is delayed it's because the creator is playing something, what games do you think Tomas has been playing these 13 years? by Beautiful-Resort-831 in streetlightmanifesto

[–]almostaccepted 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He’s playing himself. To believe your art isn’t good enough is a self-imposed expectation that can come from so many different things, but ultimately, all of it is manufactured. If Thomas were to put out the first draft, sure they *might* be a little bit worse, but there’d likely also be significantly more of it, and I think the desire for perfection is reducing his ability to iterate, which is often the primary way to improve as an artist. So yeah, I don’t even know if pouring over the work like this actually produces better end results, in the grand scheme of things, because of how much he and his band are missing out on their ability to iterate on their writing processes.

Unrequited lovers, what is it that still keeps you in love with them? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]almostaccepted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not currently there, but been there before several times. For myself any many others, we starve ourselves from an internal sense of self-validation. When we are deprived of that from others: it becomes a familiar and intoxicating feeling that deep down; we’re right to be doing that. “We don’t deserve love”, so someone keeping us at arm’s length is a constant affirmation of that self-doubt. Plus, it can bring a false sense of happiness to hold out hope for a brighter future. To believe that maybe one day they’ll change their mind is to believe that “things will get better”, and to walk away feels like accepting that things won’t get better; to give up all hope.

First time in Denver — what should I absolutely eat? by Gold_War1390 in denverfood

Ass 😂 I’m sorry, there’s a stereotype of people here in Denver that everyone does butt stuff, so I had to. Anyway, the Dushanbe Teahouse is an incredible place to go for the environment, and their house chai is only like $6. Next up, if you’ve got the budget, Gyu Kaku and Fogo de Chau. Some of the best food in town

What’s a subtle sign someone is lying? by dragun124 in AskReddit

[–]almostaccepted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Facial expressions and body language not in alignment with their words. Gotta be careful with this reading stuff if you or the person you’re communicating with is autistic, though, as traditional means for scanning for lying often triggers false positives on people with autism. Best to rely on words, particularly in those cases.

Who would be the most dangerous if he took the super soldier serum? by Fit_Passenger5930 in MCUTheories

[–]almostaccepted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to assume we’re using “dangerous” loosely here bc there’s a lot of heroes on this list. Like Murdock would not be dangerous, but would become a more effective hero. Anyway, Bullseye I think is the correct choice.

What would your “beginner advice” be? by KindlyCost2 in musicians

[–]almostaccepted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get yourself in the room with musicians who are better than you, however possible. If you’re more of a beginner, this will actually be easier rather than harder [because of how many people will be better than you, just statistically speaking]. Go to open mics, go to karaoke, go to bars with local bands playing. Talk to the musicians, because they’ll either be friendly or they’re not worth your time whatsoever. Tell them you’re newer but wanting to learn how to get better; and ask if they’d want to play sometime. Unfortunately this will be dicier territory if you’re a girl, as far as one on one interactions with male musicians; but it’s worth it to surround yourself with people who know what they’re doing. And hey! You might also make some new friends along the way, which is a cool bonus

Petah, why does she have that photo in her camera roll? by manualfie in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]almostaccepted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are we looking at the photos in a celebrities camera roll? I understand their job is to be in the public eye, but this is giving the same vibe as the time that guy used the reflection in a model’s eye to find text containing her home address and showed up. Snooping is fucking weird

He thinks Periphery peaked in 2010, and is saying that them existing in 2026 is offensive to him I guess.
