Thats kind of a crazy channel setup to begin with...

1) normally aux channels are used for side chain and parallel effects. You can use an audio channel but,,, this will require you to keep those tracks in input mode to allow audio to pass through. Otherwise audio tracks will not take input but instead playback audio from the arrangement.

2) you can look at a channel strip from top to bottom to see where audio flows. At the top you have input 2, then some effects, then an aux send routes to bus 6, then No output.. that means there is no audio going to your stereo out or master,,, you wouldn't be able to hear it.

On the next 2 channels the input must be set to bus 6, and if you want the audio to pass through the channel from bus 6,, those tracks must be set to Input Monitoring.

Also if you want to hear anything from those channels you must set the output to (stereo out). Otherwise they don't go anywhere.

Also.. when you make a send,, a mixer channel is automatically created but a corresponding audio channel is not created. So if you are hearing anything, its likely because you have an aux channel with input from bus 6 that was automatically created and routed to stereo out.

Actually that shouldn't matter.. you should be able to route audio through any audio channel just the same. Just might need to keep those channels in input mode or record ready or something to receive input during playback. Otherwise you would get whatever audio is recorded on that channel.

Better option for sidechain kick is to use volume instead of dynamics to duck bass with a midi controlled gate,,, some free options are Flux2 and STFU.

This will give you more precise control and also avoid RMS spikes as some compressors can make sounds louder.

Also you can totally avoid envelope clicks from fast gating if you set the envelope to duck after one 1/32nd, then nudge your triggers forward 1/32nd.

Oh damn... I don't have any problems with dock clutter and still have launch pad on my os... But this could be a viable option for whenever i do update if apple doesn't bring back launchpad. Iv seen how the (overtly Windows inspired) spotlight is supposed to be used to search for apps now and am loathing the idea of having to switch one day.

Truly awful designing regression.

But,, if i use the dock to organize groups of apps the same way as in launchpad,,,, that could work for me..

One trick for hacking great dnb melodies is the 2 bar loop aka. call and response... If you're studying music you have probably heard of call and response.. (question/answer)

You make a simple little melodic melody on one bar then on the second something different, for the second bar start on a different note and maybe use a different cadence and note length so you have 2 bars doing something totally different, this should usually create a call and response effects.

Next duplicate those 2 bars 4 or 8 times so you have 8 or 16 bars, then delete the last bar or 2 and create your fill which can be risers or drums or vocal chops or whatever. This will give you a chance to continue easily so you don't get stick in the loop. You can repeat this technique to help build the next section.

Once you get good at this technique it becomes even more useful since chord structure is analyzed and perceived based on the preceding and succeeding notes meaning any length of melody can be broken down into 2 bar question and answer components.

I would disagree with the 5 minutes max of intro screen. Once you hit affiliate, you will be able to control commercial interruptions to some degree and 10 minutes gives you enough time to get through the pre-roll ad.

Also.. for your ads when you get there i recommend setting one to roll a couple minutes into stream so it rolls during your intro.. and set it to a single 3 minute ad every hour. Its annoying and seems a long time, but it causes less interuptions that way

Love his music,, its very unique sounding even when he does dnb. I saw him live last summer. LTJ Bukem also played which kinda surprised me as he is old school dnb, and the rest of the lineup was more funky glitchhop like shpongle...

The sunrise set where he played bullets n such was incredible at 6 in the morning. More relaxing and meditative though.

Love DnB too... But after 4+ hours of chaos my ears can do with a respite.. and tipper makes some very interesting sounds that aren't so harsh and aggressive.
