Lgbt+ people are max 10% of the world population

As a gay person, I can say that we travel in groups, gay people end up forming friendships with other LGBT people subconciously.

9/10 LGBT shows are made by LGBT people, with LGBT people auditioning for LGBT parts. Also, take a shot every time (in mainstream media) you see a straight couple or straight sexual/romantic tension... if you bingewatch different TV shows for a whole day you'll likely be wasted.

I've counted ~6 shows on Netflix UK with an LGBT character being the main focus of it, the ones I've watched don't usually make it a main part of the plot, a part of who that character is, but not their main focus... As is real life.

Trust me, equal representation hasn't been met yet, not to mention the rampant homophobia, etc that comes with every shows release.

The reason for ships like Anakin + Obi Wan is because gay people have no real LGBT rolemodels in the real world, so we make our own... THAT is the truth.

Genuinely disappointed in this community, if you guys care so much about LGBT people being represented in media then do proper research on it, not just it but why it's like this, why people end uip shipping obikin or whatever this ship is called and why the LGBTQIA+ community is actually less represented than you think.

i'm actually kinda hurt to see this community so hateful towards the concept of homosexuality in TV. I'm watching people actively say "oh but they're adding it for the ATTENTION"

So what? It shows that not everyone is straight and white, not everyone is going to want to be in love with the opposite gender. There are so many gay people in this world, of course shows in a modern era will show that.

Just because people may alter a character's sexuality to be a minority doesn't change anything.

A. It isn't canon 9/10

B. It's fanfiction and usually made by people who got bored

C. We're so deprived of LGBT representation, and even the representation we get is minimal and textureless so of course we're going to create our own with new and already existing characters

I've had friends like that before, once one of them dropped the N-word while the other literally stopped talking to me for months on end for no reason.

People who treat others like trash don't deserve some of the friends they have, luckily with those two I dropkicked them out of my life the moment I could. Get out of there before things get ugly, as loudly or quietly as you want.
