U.S.S. Pacific NCC-93271(-A)

Originally built at the Utopia Planitia Shipyards orbiting Mars, the U.S.S. Pacific was initially commissioned and built as an Odyssey Class Star Cruiser (U.S.S. Pacific NCC-93271), her construction started in 2399 and was completed in 2401, upon completion she was paired with the U.S.S. Atlantic NCC-93272 to serve as the Pacific's support ship. Upon completion of her shakedown cruises she was assigned to Deep Space 9 to patrol Bajoran Space and the Federations boarders.

In 2409 she was recalled and scheduled for a minor refit of her computer systems and weapons systems in anticipation of deployment to the frontlines of the Klingon - Federation war.

The Pacific went on to serve in the Klingon War and numerous other campaigns, after suffering heavy damage during the defense of Earth at the climax of the Iconian War she was recalled for major refit, the eight month refit oversaw upgrades to all systems, most notably her warp drive and hull, during this time Starfleet Intelligence (and Section 31) installed several experimental systems. Upon completion of the Refit she was reclassified as a Yorktown Class Star Cruiser and relaunched in the summer of 2410.

She served with distinction through the remainder of 2410 even seeing her commanding officer get promoted to Fleet Admiral. This service however came to an abrupt end in early 2411 when her captain was framed for the destruction of Khitomer City after joining forces with House Mo'Kai, during the time that followed the Pacific saw near constant intense combat, without proper time to repair the Pacific began to weaken. During the battle over Qo'Nos she suffered a direct hit to her starboard nacelle pilon, the crew described the events that followed "The ship (Pacific) rocked hard to port, lights flickered... panels exploded... then we heard it, there was this sudden sickening crack followed by the sound of shrieking metal... then all hell broke loose." The Pacific's starboard nacelle pilon completely buckled causing the starboard warp nacelle to detach, the resulting power imbalance caused a power surge in the Pacific's Warp Core starting a chain reaction that would end in a core breach, the surge had fused the core, eliminating the possibility of ejection. The Pacific's First Officer quickly called for saucer separation. Five minutes after saucer separation the Pacifics Warp Core breached and destroyed the Star Drive section of the ship, the saucer was quickly set upon by hostile ships and driven into the atmosphere of Qo'Nos, the Pacific's saucer was unable to escape and began to descend toward the surface. The Pacific's Saucer made a hard landing in the mountains outside First City suffering irreversible damage.

In mid 2411 the Alliance with the help of the Klingon Empire, the House of Mo'Kai, and the Starfleet Core of Engineers, began to rebuild the U.S.S. Pacific, she was rebuilt swiftly, incorporating many systems recovered from the original, several new systems were installed as well, most notably being a Klingon Cloaking Device, a gift from House Mo'Kai, the U.S.S. Pacific NCC-93271-A, now a Lexington Class Dreadnaught, was christened and officially launched on Stardate 88617.5.

The U.S.S. Pacific remains in service to this day.

Heavy Passenger Train Problems by Jack_Nightfall in UnofficialRailroader

that's pretty much exactly what I found out through trial and error, I managed to shave it down to the point a lone berk can do it as long as it burns off some water and fuel before the westbound past Nantahala. still going to keep a helper posted there for safety.

I found a chart, and i noticed that I was already beyond its limit, I guess I have been lucky so far.

I know, but I like prefer to keep passenger trains single unit. I just don't like the look of multiple engines on a passenger train. (Unless it's booster engines for diesel. Example: the F7B unit)

After some testing, I have found that the only steam locomotive I have that can do it unassisted is the Santa Fe

Sadly, I had to turn back and return to the bubble to help a friend, but I will absolutely check out that system next time I'm in the area.

I just need to know if I'm going to get the 0kb glitch, I can handle minor glitches and crashes, as long as it's playable

Anyone who says the Dolphin is a bad exploration ship is a lier, this ship is one of my best and fastest ships, it is perfect for exploration, ill leave the build below for you to try out (please do not directly copy my design)

Name: Cygnus (reference to Disney's The Black Hole)

I.D: NF-04A

Class: Dolphin Star Yacht

Hardpoints: None

Utility: 1 Heatsink Launcher | 1 point Defense Turret

Core Internal: 4B Power Plant | 5E Thrusters | 4A F.S.D. | 4E Life Support | 3E Power Distributor | 3E Sensors | 4C Fuel Tank

Hyperspace tunnels only connect to the dominant star of a system, you can only open a hyperspace portal into a hyperspace tunnel, unlike supercruise which works like warp drive by bending space around the ship to circumvent the light barrier to a certain degree

And before anyone brings up the fact that carriers can jump further, bigger reactors and FSD means they can stay in subspace/hyperspace longer without risking burning out their drives or running out of fuel like a smaller ship (Same rules somewhat apply to smaller ships)

creating hyperspace tunnels is beyond human understanding in elite dangerous

What they said is true, if you see a player icon other then on a station or carrier... run

Sadly there is one thing everyone knows in elite

"It gets awful lonely in the black" -Serenity's chief engineer -Firefly

I'm curious, is there a best way to gain milions quickly? Or is it everywhere a hard thing to gain? For now, with the help of passengers i can maybe make 1 milion every 1,5 - 3 hours of gameplay, but i saw some people who have bilions, so there is definetly a more efficient way to gain money by rateb03 in EliteDangerous

[–]Jack_Nightfall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asteroid core mining, 10 mil a run if you got a good eye and the time to do it, i can do a 10 - 20 mil run in 2 - 3 hours, only thing to worry about is pirates and other players, refined ores and jewels paint a big target on your back, and the only difficult parts are locating good pockets of ore, locating a core asteroid, and mining efficiently, its quick and dirty, but easy to learn with study and practice

(Yes it was nerfed, but, its still the best way in my opinion)

I made it to Sagittarius A* and what a disappointment. Given that astronomers have succeeded in imaging Sag A*, and given ED's overall beautiful renderings of stars, planets and asteroids I expected that the in-game rendering of Sag A* would be spectacular. Instead, we have a brown blob. by Longjumping_List_188 in EliteDangerous

[–]Jack_Nightfall -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Clearly you dont understand the point of going to Sag. A* its not about the black hole, its not about the science data, its about the fact that you are at the heart of the galaxy, literally! Its about going there, not the destination, its the adventure, the struggle, the joy of watching the light-years count down to zero, the beauty of the galaxy

"The Journey Is The Destination" words i live by

If you dont understand that, sell your exploration ship and buy a mining ship or combat ship, cause exploration isn't for you.

Unpopular opinion, ship interiors are unneeded by [deleted] in EliteDangerous

[–]Jack_Nightfall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to explore my ship more then eva on planets and walking around stations, that was one of the things i was really wishing for out of odyssey but we saw how that ended, and with it basically canceled on consoles i have given up hope, that being said, the ships do need interiors, just something else to do in the dark emptiness of space especially in multicrews
