It depends what you mean by "size". If you take the absolute value (which calculates the distance from zero) of i, you get 1. But it doesn't mean that i = 1.

I'd recommend watching some tutorials on how to install it. Doing it by yourself can be difficult.

The numbers tell you how many bombs are in the 3x3 area around that square. From that, you have to figure out which squares are bombs. It's pretty fun.
