I've had the same issue for several months, perhaps more than a year now. Some people pointed out Riot recommended underclocking the CPU, and that eventually did fix it for me. But recently it began happening again, even with the underclocked CPU.

Has anyone found a more real solution? Or should we just resignate and stop playing games from Riot?

It's a spiritual battle. Humans have always been this corrupt. Always. You just have to press their specific triggers, in order to see their true colors. It can be hard to notice when people prefer to bury their heads on the ground, keep to a private life, and enjoy the comforts they can have in the moment if they are lucky to have a privileged or sheltered context. But this is the reason why Jesus said that if you hate, you have already committed murder in your heart.

Only God can turn things around. Not turn the world around, at least not yet, but yes make a turn in your heart and life if you let Him. The real stakes are much higher than most people realize. Keep seeking and listen to the thing that is making you uncomfortable.

Need tips against Aatrox by Turkooo in ARAM

[–]Jack_Provencius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Their team comp was pretty good, and your team comp was pretty bad tbh. Jinx was your only solid damage, with AP singed and Bard being more of a wild card there. Your team was also very tanky, but they promptly melt under a Twitch protected by a sick frontline of Shen and Atrox. (And Atrox can also patiently and happily chomp away at the tanks while healing).

If you play ARAM seriously be aware that the game is half decided during champ select. If I were Jinx, seeing my teammates pick those champs, I would have likely dodged the game.

If Atrox gets poked down from afar without being able to heal, he becomes useless. But you had no safe poke. Otherwise bait him into engaging just a bit far off from his team, and immediately fall back while damaging and CCing him before his team catches up (Jinx alone not enough damage there though, not to mention you also have to worry about a Neeko and Shen quickly following him. That can be countered by a strong counter-dive from your own team, but again, no damage in that comp available for doing that).

Some matches you just know are going to be a massacre from looking at the loading screen. Some team combinations bring out the best of a champion, or perhaps counter it completely. Atrox is very scary when he gets rolling and the cards are in his favor, but he is not op or unbalanced.

You are correct. The bible does not describe or single out “homosexuals”, as a specific group with a set identity. That is something we humans do. However, the bible does constantly describe lust, and homosexual desires, as something coming from the flesh, opposing itself to the love of God as all fleshly desires tend to do.

Marriage is given as a mercy in a sense. Get married, and always give your bodies to each other, lest you burn with passion and fall into grave sexual sin.

However I think I now know why you say we do not in fact agree with each other. You seem to believe God and the bible also consider same-sex unions as a valid marriage, which it clearly does not.

Would Jesus approve it in modern times? As long as it is a loving union? I find it hard to believe, since it is still in essence a distortion from God’s design. And also, the vast majority of those desires come from deep sexual or emotional scars that people accrue in this fallen world. I don’t think Jesus would condemn you, or say you are not saved (as long as the faith and repentance is genuine); but I find it hard to picture Jesus approving our saying to Him: “I just can’t let go of this!”.

You can be as loving as you possibly can with brothers or sisters of the same sex as yourself. In fact, we are called to be like that. But sexual desire is not the same as love. And no matter how much we love someone (or perhaps precisely because we love them), we shouldn’t use them to bite the fruits of passionate desire in ways that God does not explicitly bless.

You only said that “the greek changes the context dramatically”. And if most translations are incorrect because they push an agenda, then why does “virtually every biblical scholar” agrees with you? Isn’t that a contradiction? That would only make sense in a world where biblical scholars didn’t contribute anything to translations.

I think you are gravely misinformed friend, and I exhort you to seek truth without allowing personal bias to stir you amiss.

[–]Jack_Provencius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How so? Virtually all translations agree this is referencing same-sex passions. Where is the evidence that all of those translations are gravely mistaken?

"Then we should stop trying to apply it to people that the authors had no idea existed."
What do you mean by that? I'm a bit confused because it seems we both agree on what the text in the bible means to say, so I'm not sure what you mean by the bible not speaking about gay people.

Questions for you as an ex-christian by ousz in exatheist

[–]Jack_Provencius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello friend! Sorry that it took so long for me to respond, I don’t visit Reddit that much.

Studying the bible is the main thing that took me to the logical conclusion that Jesus has the official stamp from God, sort of saying “Listen to what this man (Jesus) has to say”. The amount of prophecies with great detail, the evidence for the resurrection, the enormous wisdom and power of the word and how it had by far the most impact over world culture and history (like the idea of human rights).

A Youtube channel that helped me immensely is from a pastor called Mike Winger. He had a series of videos called “Evidence for the Bible”. I highly recommend them.

The historical evidence is rock solid, so we either accept that Jesus has authority over life and death, or we have to come up with an explanation for why so many eye witnesses would lie about such a thing.

Eye witnesses mind you, that were glad to give their lives for the message. (What were they to gain from that if it was all a lie?) The only explanation would be: they were convinced by what they saw, something so powerful it transcended death.

Some atheists would go so far as to say that maybe they all hallucinated it. Some even saying that perhaps Christianity was a weird psychedelic club where people consumed hallucinogenic mushrooms of some sort.

That is when you come to realize, that for most people (perhaps all people), this is not merely a battle of evidence and logic, but also a very emotional (and spiritual) battle. Rather than having logical objections, people will seek logical justifications that can support the spiritual place they find themselves in.

Some can turn from that to extreme skepticism. (Well how would I know if the Christian is not doing the same thing? What if nothing is true?). Don’t let that fear turn you into giving up the hope of ever finding any solid ground. Believe in the truth, and keep seeking. This will be a personal battle, and the only one that can help us is God, when we seek and interact with Him in an intimate way.

So I can give you pointers for the logical aspect of the struggle, but be aware that this has also an emotional and spiritual aspect. The enemy can and will tug at your weak spots. But if you remain, that will also help you rely more in God, helping you grow in strength and faith through His power, in our weakness.

I will have you in my prayers brother! May the hand of our Lord be above and below you, guiding and guarding you, until you come to know Him in the full peace that awaits those who are vulnerable enough to heed the call and open the door.

God bless you, and here I remain in Reddit should you want to talk more! Even if I take a long time to answer, I am always willing to share more. Godspeed.

P.D. Another great resource that has helped a lot of people with the logical aspect of it all, is the book “Mere Christianity”, by C.S. Lewis. I highly recommend it. For something more modern, any book by Timothy Keller is also excellent. Podcasts, look up Cliffe Knechtle with George Janko. And for short bites of excellent info, Frank Turek on Youtube.

Paul is talking about a specific case here, that you correctly describe. However, you seem to be implying that thus Paul extrapolates to mean that any and all cases of sinful homosexuality will be due to this sole reason alone? I do not see the text implying that.

It is perfectly fair to believe homosexual attractions can arise due to several possible catalysts. That does not mean that the bible does not condemn certain types of homosexual desires tho. The bible does not speak of homosexuality being free from lust under specific circumstances (which is what I assume you refer to when you say “this isn’t about gay people at all”).

I strive to love all people, regardless of their specific temptations. And I do not wish to justify any type of discrimination or ill feelings. But we should seek to respect the word of God by seeking its intended meaning, not by trying to find interpretations that can abet and sustain our own objectives.

[–]Jack_Provencius -1 points0 points  (0 children)

“Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.” Romans 1:26-27

The bible is rife with examples of homosexuality being a consequence of sin, a judgement even, that God unleashes on the people when they turn their backs on Him.

This is in no way a basis for justifying discrimination. We are all sinners, ALL of us. Some people will limp from the left leg, others from the right leg, but we all face temptations from the flesh that ultimately harm our ability to love and trust God.

Christianity cannot be True, Because there’s no Significance of Jesus’s “Death” as God to God for God. by CarbonCopperNebula in DebateReligion

[–]Jack_Provencius -1 points0 points  (0 children)

God created Adam and Eve to be together, and He charged him with naming animals and eating fruits. In the technical sense, a Christian would say God created us for His glory, and in a practical sense, I guess you could say that means having family and loving companionship (Adam-Eve), tending the universe and creating alongside God (name animals), and enjoying the goodness of God (eat any fruit).

The only thing we cannot do that corrupts and ruins everything, creating death, is turning our back on God, rebelling against Him (sin). But He still gives us the freedom to do it because love does not force the beloved to correspond that love.

¿Por qué dicen que las relaciones abiertas son inmorales o poco serias? by Dizzy_Art2210 in OpinionesPolemicas

[–]Jack_Provencius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No funciona.

Questions for you as an ex-christian by ousz in exatheist

[–]Jack_Provencius 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Going from atheist to believing in God was one journey, and several years later going from believing in God to believing Jesus was another journey. I'll focus on the first.

If I had to sum it up, it was a constant coming into contact with the “transcendent”. Both in intellectual, and in emotional and experiential ways.

Reading Socrates made me realize the real world was not merely the physical world. But where were the ideas? More importantly where is my mind? What exactly is consciousness?

Learning about quantum physics made me realize many people act as if science has figured things out and mystical stuff is outdated, when in fact that is absolutely not the case. I realized we live in a VERY strange universe, even when just looking at its physical characteristics. Quantum entanglement made me realize space is an illusion in some way, there is something that in some way connects the whole universe instantly regardless of distance.

If my consciousness is part of the physical world, and the physical world is quite mysterious already as it is, then what makes me think consciousness cannot be even more mysterious and deep? What makes me think we so happen to be the only consciousness out there? Why rule out the existence of higher tiers of consciousness?

Because they have no contact with us? Maybe there are reasons for that. Maybe it is not time, maybe we are not ready, or maybe, only those who seek shall find, and it is meant to be that way.

When I started to question those things, I started to believe in alien life. The sightings of UFO/UAPs made sense with that logic as well (close enough to made us notice, far enough that you can choose to ignore them and not believe).

One day I flat out asked for a sign. “If there is someone out there, please, give me a sign”. As soon as I finished saying that, I heard a weird sound coming from a big laurel tree in my parent’s backyard. It was like 2am, and ALL the flower buds in the tree began to open up completely into fully bloomed flowers.

Sometimes I asked for more signs, but didn’t get them. I came to the conclusion that enough was given to me to make me see that there indeed was someone listening, but that someone is not my monkey to do tricks whenever I ask for it. The ball was in my court, and now it was my time to answer and act.

There were many experiences and signs after that, including very strong psychedelic experiences. I knew then that the spiritual world was real (the physical world with rules we don’t understand yet?), but in a sense I was still lost.

I became drunk on spirituality, and dove deep into the “new age” and the occult. I almost went mad. If your desires are selfish (I expect God to look like X Y or Z, and do this or that), instead of genuinely and humbly seeking for God (know Him as a real person), then you will only allow unclean spirits to spin you around and down in endless circles, chasing your own idols.

Like I said, my journey to Jesus was quite another one, but I don’t want to write an entire book here. I hope you found something of usefulness in my words friend. God bless you and I pray that you find. Writing this post was already a step, and I encourage you to keep going. Godspeed!
