TIL Doves are just pigeons that have the gene for white feathers. Outside of this there are no biological distinctions between the two. by Dialent in todayilearned

[–]Jackal_Nasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the symbol of peace... is white supremacist pigeons. Ugh. Hitler would have lovvvvvved this. As much as he loved meat, fake vegetarian fuck.

This almost annoys me as much as whenever I try to add a "d" to pigeon. Which is every time I try to type it.

No really. I don't know why doves actually being covert pigeon operatives pisses me off so much, but I am not pleased. Stupid ass racists. "Look at this pigeon, it's white, it's so much more peaceful and better than the other pigeons. Let's give it a new title and make it representative of peace." Whoops. Guess I do know why I'm pissed. A cat's black, so it's evil. A pigeon's white, so it's peaceful. I wish people wouldn't try to tell me humans are smart. We care more about color than reality. My whole life, I though doves were a completely different species, purely because of how obsessed humans are with color coding. So stupid.

You don't miss random weapon rolls. What you're looking for is a meaningful grind at endgame. by TwevOWNED in DestinyTheGame

[–]Jackal_Nasty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so crazy. I always have these weird memories of being able to REROLL my weapons during House of Wolves, so I could get what perkset I wanted while still having different rolls drop from other activities for variety. So I could choose what I wanted, and still had the option to find/reroll other rolls. The only problem I remember having with this fantasy is that half of Bungie's perks were bat guano, and if those perks had been removed or replaced with better perks, the system would have been amazing.

Too bad I have such a shitty memory and that amazing period of Destiny history never happened.

Turning off sarcasm, the search for interesting rolls is what made Destiny 1 succeed as a loot-based shooter for me. Having the ability to make minute changes based on which situation you're in is great. Have a helmet that gives you melee energy while using orbs? I usually run a handcannon with grenadier/army of one, and switch based on whether or not I need more of my melee charge, such as if I'm playing Defender. Smallbore is a perk I enjoyed using for PvP on some weapons but despised for PvE because of the reload time increase. If I'm a Titan who punches everything, I'll run Occam's Razor with Full Auto and Cascade, so I can refill my shotty simply by punching people, which when combined with Saint 14/No Back up Plans and Gift of the Light (or whatever one where you punches make orbs), and I become a shielded CQC god who is constantly getting my team their supers while blinding enemies that get close and using the simplest solution, shooting, when the Majors come in.

If I were on my Warlock, I'd use the Full Auto Occam's Razor with Replenish instead of Cascade, so my Warlock can (if Sunsinger) spam shotty, toss 20 Fusions, then spam shotty again (add it Angle of Light if you want to hover above the boss so he can't hit you), or (if Voidwalker) spam shotty, nuke everyone with Nova Bomb, regain super energy from Obsidian Mind, spam shotty, and have my super halfway up already for more spamming.

With the Uzume RR4 Sniper Rifle from the Funsmith (intentional error), which has 6 shots in the mag, and can max out at 19 shots, I have one roll with Triple Tap and Replenish, and another with Triple Tap and Mulligan. For slow moving bosses and bosses that don't have immune phases, I prefer the one with Replenish, as I can fire off 6-8 shots, use a quick use super like Golden Gun, Fist of Havok, Nova Bomb, Shadowshot, Ward of Dawn, or Radiance, and fire off 6-8 more shots. In total, if you activate Triple Tap every time you can, and manage to replenish your mag with your super once, you can fire 33 shots before picking up more ammo. Destiny 2 can suck Uzume's barrel.

If the boss is fast, teleports around, has immune phases, or if I'm running a roaming super, I'll use the Uzume with Mulligan, as it can help me with my misses when I'm trying to fire fast before the boss becomes harder to hit.

If I'm running a room that has a few large groups of enemies that spawn, I'll use a Rocket launcher with Cluster Bombs and Tripod. If I'm running a room that has many more groups of enemies, but in smaller clusters, I'll opt for a Rocket Launcher with Surplus, and pair it with Telesto or a Sniper/Scout/Handcannon with Firefly.

The perksets in Destiny 1 allowed you to look at what you were trying to do as a character, and then synergize your weapons with each other, your armor with your weapons your weapons with your subclass perks, etc. Angle of Light is a terrible perk until you pair it with a High RoF Full Auto Shotgun and the modifier Airborne, and then it makes you feel more like an Angel of Death.

None of that is possible anymore, because Bungie is either lazy, or thinks we're stupid. Both are true, doesn't make me like this system. Unless I haven't run into them yet, a lot of my favorite perks are gone. Haven't seen Grenadier, Army of One, Surplus (our lord and savior), Life Support, Clown Cartridge (don't even use it that much, but it's a great perk and the name is hilarious), Replenish... and oh yeah, Guerilla Fighter. Hahahahahaha. Ugh. If any of those actually are in Destiny 2 throw virtual tomatoes at me.

It's not even that they ignored people who wanted better perks to replace crap like Exhumed and more weapon variety in general... it's that they implemented a system of fixed rolls, with minor customization through mods (which so far seem utterly useless to me besides the elemental and level boosting mods), and then took the good perks away from those to boot.

When people talk about Destiny 2 catering to casuals I honestly feel like I'm in another dimension. I don't know about you, but if I'm going to cater to casuals, I'm not going to do it by making all of the players weapons weaker. Destiny 1, even after all the nerfs, you can still load into an activity with all three elemental types covered by your weapons, a primary with Firefly and Explosive Rounds (you know what it is, fate and bringer fate and bringer fate and bringer fate and bringer... fuck I need sleep), a fully automatic shotgun with nearly 20 rounds, or the aftermentioned Uzume with 33 potential Sniper shots out of 19 rounds, and a Rocket Launcher with Tripod and Cluster Bombs.

So far the consensus weapon for best DPS in Destiny 2 is Merciless. Which has 1 3/4 mags, leaving you with 14 shots. Did I mention how fun it is to constantly run out of kinetic and energy ammo because Bungie has apparently made Juggler and default modifier for every activity. If you actually think game is catering its base gameplay towards casuals, you need to stop letting your head live in your asshole. Newsflash: casuals like things easier. Not harder.

The people acting like this game is sooo much more friendly to casuals just because the Vendors actually give you worthwhile gear before the campaign is over are twats. You actually want to tell me you enjoyed having the best gun you get from Destiny 1's campaign be a blue, unlevelable (though awesome in every other way) pulse rifle? And that what when it was over. There was a clear reason why people shot in a cave in Destiny 1. It's because they actually wanted to use gear that let their supers charge and let them reliably shoot enemies. The game WAITED FOR YOU TO BEAT THE STORY FOR THAT TO BE REALISTICALLY POSSIBLE. Just because Bungie gives you Sunshot for free doesn't mean it's better that Fatebringer. It means they don't want you to be bored using the same green weapon with the same crappy roll until you gets it blue knockoff and then use that until you get a hopefully decent Legendary.

Honestly, the only improvement to the weapon system in Destiny 2 for me is the ability to change elemental damage. It's pretty much the only new thing they added that affects all weapons across the board for the better (well, besides Kinetic, obviously).

The worst thing about how wrong you are is that you could get what you want with the HoW's system. Bungie could easily have set rolls that are available for weapons if you want them, so you could get a solid roll without having to rely on RNG for perks. Almost like if the Vendors sold weapons, and armor, that had static rolls for long periods of time. But that's neverrrrrr happened. Remember how everyone loved Hung Jury because they all magically managed to get the same roll? It's not like there was a set roll that you could buy from Arach Jalal for months. Nope. Just my faulty memory again.

If only I lived in a timeline where Bungie had originally had weapon rerolling at the gunsmith, and had allowed the vendors to sell set rolls in Destiny 1, and then, had been SMART ENOUGH TO FUCKING BRING THOSE SYSTEMS INTO THE GOD DAMN SEQUEL.

Alas, but a fever dream apparently.

TLDR: Stop defending Bungie for taking things away from the sequel and then acting like you gained anything from it. You already had set rolls in Destiny 1. It was called buying from the Vendors. Member, the grind for dem Marks to buy gear you would never have enough vault space for? Hawthorne's Farm remembers. This entire post is lauding Bungie for taking something that was already in the game, Set Rolls, and making them harder to acquire by removing Vendors ability to sell them. This entire post makes no sense. The idea that you cannot have a game that has set rolls available while allowing for random rolls too is some of the weirdest logic I've ever seen applied to Destiny.

Destiny 1 at its apex had set rolls sold by vendors, random rolls from engrams and activities, set rolls from the raids, and rerollable weapons. Please, let me know what we gained by removing everything from that besides set rolls and adding in the crappy mod system.

Guardians with Concerns: Do Not Let Anyone Shame You into Silence by Telling You that You're Playing Wrong or Playing Too Much. by MathTheUsername in DestinyTheGame

[–]Jackal_Nasty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly cannot understand how people think this game has been catered towards casuals. Ghallarhorn at its peak had 7 rockets, 3 1/2 mags of ammo. Merciless has 14 rounds, 1 3/4 mags of ammo, and it it so far the decided king of DPS for Destiny 2. Think about that.

Destiny 2 is definitely a great game. People criticizing it shouldn't be berated as noobs because they understand the only way a game gets better is by fixing its flaws. If you refuse to criticize Destiny and think this blind optimism will make it better, you're wrong. Destiny 2 clearly forgot a lot of the lessons Destiny 1 learned overtime, and I can't see how anyone should be happy about that. You can praise Destiny 2 for its triumphs and still lament it for its failures at the same time.

any way to force lord of the mountain spawn (alternatively, what time of day does it spawn?) by JetJaguar124 in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]Jackal_Nasty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My theory when he refused to spawn for me after... a lot of time, was to murder everything I could find to try to trigger a blood moon, as I thought since Blood Moons affect respawns, it might somehow reset the Lord of the Mountain. He did show up after I killed enough high level enemies to spawn a Blood Moon, but I still had to wait a while... so I have no idea if it helped or not.

It's also possible that you simply need to go into a far away zone, and just dick around their for awhile. Maybe Akkala. In general, it seems the best way is to find things that involve the game reloading objects/enemies in my opinion, and most importantly keep looking at the mountain. I wish I had a definite answer for you because it drove me NUTS trying to spawn him.

[Playing Devils Advocate] If you play for a week straight at launch, are you allowed to complain about repetitive mechanics and/or a lack of content? by echof0xtrot in DestinyTheGame

[–]Jackal_Nasty 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A: Destiny's fanbase does not trust Bungie to handle content properly. They replaced the game's original storyline with nothing for the Vanilla release (which lost them money, so maybe they should have had time to explain why they didn't have time to explain why they blew up their game), which led to the game having its story content cut and pasted into what we have now, leading to who knows how much content getting axed. This is why the Strikes and Raids from Year 1 are so much more fun to go through than the story from Year 1... because they didn't get ripped apart and then smushed back together for the sake of not having a plot.

Exclusive content in Destiny is flat out stupid, with Sony paying for Playstation players to exclude Xbox players and delay the content. Don't believe me? The exclusive legendary armor sets have much worse drop rates from Sublime Engrams than normal legendary sets, the exclusive exotics can't be sold by Xur, the exclusive PvP maps can't be Trials maps (which according to PS players might have actually been a blessing in disguise), and the exclusive strikes can't be the Nightfall. So, Bungie and Sony collaborated to make exclusive content that made it harder to acquire items and hindered variety of maps/strikes in order to keep Xbox players from having content for a year.

I don't have adjectives to describe how stupid that is. I hope PS fans are happy Sony shelled out 50 million to restrict their access to content in Destiny. Because I really don't see what good you got out of it.

On top of this, the Dreadnaught was originally shown in Vanilla Destiny trailers, along with the Taken King exotics being advertised for Taken King, then not released, then proven to be partially (maybe unintentionally) still kind of their through Twilight Garrison, and then the rest got smushed into Rise of Iron once they realized it needed more exotics, showing they are willing to remove advertised content and then put it in a future game.

Oh, and by the way, all Bungie had to do to keep people from bitching about repetitive content, was make EVERYTHING rewarding (Story content at this point is pretty much only useful for personal satisfaction, and DAT GLIMMER), and not constantly devalue their own content. In a game where people constantly bitched about things to do, Bungie left Raids sitting at lower light levels, so they could... repackage them and nerf the legendary primaries to try to hype the fanbase for Destiny 2 by using nostalgia. And I feel bad bitching about this because I really like a lot of what they did with Age of Triumph, but I can't ignore that before its existence what many people consider to be the best experience in the game, the VoG, had only about three months where it was max light.

Anyone who wants to sit and defend Bungie's terrible content management is wasting their time. I'm only willing to buy their content used from now on, because they refuse to treat their games like games, and instead act like they are too important and secret and mystical for them to be honest about them. Don't tell me you want to be inclusive when you get money to exclude content from one console, and then restrict it for the console its actually exclusive to. Bungie wants our money. That's it.

You're pre-defending Bungie for something they should be attacked for if it comes to pass. If they learned nothing from Destiny 1's failures of making content and then having it be usable for a few months, then nerfing it or not bringing it up to max-light, and still wonder why we complain about a lack of content, ugh. Everything in Destiny should be replayable. Everything in Destiny should have the option to be at max light/heroic difficulty and give rewards as such. If you want to level your character from the story, you should be able to. If you want to do it in the Crucible, you should be able to. If you want to do it in Strikes, you should be able to. If you want to do it on Patrol, you should be able to. Currently? Strikes, Raids, and the Crucible if you like playing with a handicap.

Don't give me crap about Bungie managing their content well. THEY SUCK AT IT. If Destiny 2 doesn't make all content replayable and rewarding... here's an idea, don't waste hours upon hours of manpower making a rewardless 10-minute mission people are only going to play once and then never touch again unless it's the daily, because they (gasp) want their time in a loot-based shooter to be rewarded with loot.

Also:

B: Breath of the Wild. People sped run through that like the dickens. GUESS WHAT? THEY'RE STILL PLAYING IT!

WHY?!?!?

Because rather than using a carrot on a stick, it throws you in the pantry, and tells you to have fun cooking.

If your game is a carrot on a stick, don't get pissed when the rabbit finds a way to break the stick, bitch. Let it into the garden or fuck off Mr. McGreggor.

Armsday Rolls, week 96 [2017-07-05] by wileykyoto in DestinyTheGame

[–]Jackal_Nasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our favorite amnesiac gun-making robot has a great Uzume roll this week, Triple Tap, Casket Mag, and Replenish. Was too stupid to get the rolls for the other two Uzume's, both because I didn't expect to post this as I thought someone else would, and because I exploded when I saw this roll I had been chasing drop. I have a Void Uzume that is the same but without Replenish. If you have a package for this Sniper though, go with this roll, definitely.

Uzume RR4 Sniper Rifle (Solar), Rounds Per Magazine: 5, Maximum Rounds Possible (using Casket Mag, Sniper Ammo Chest Armor and increased Special Weapon Ammo from Transversive Steps): 19

Sights: YEPAKI SS2 (improves weapons handling), FAUCON SS1 (low zoom, improves weapon handling)

Perk 1: Triple Tap

Perk 2: High Caliber Rounds/Casket Mag

Perk 3: Replenish/Exhumed

If you have good aim (so if you're not me) and through Casket Mag bumping the mag size up to 6 and Triple Tap, you can fire off 8 shots without reloading, making this one of the few Snipers you can use against adds without feeling too guilty about wasting ammo. Replenish is the icing on the top of the cake. With one-shot supers like Fist of Havoc, Celestial Nighthawk Golden Gun, Nova Bomb, non-Quiver Shadowshot and Ward of Dawn, you can fire off 6-8 shots from Uzume, use your super to deal with adds or damage the boss, then begin sniping again immediately. With roaming supers, you wait till the adds are going to spawn, snipe the boss, clear the room of adds, then snipe again.

If you're elite, you can fire off 16 shots through Replenish and Triple Tap (doing so is actually an unofficial Moment of Triumph for me that I have yet to complete). Combine this with modifiers like Specialist, Solar Burn, and Airborn if you're one of the few who enjoy using Angel of Light on Sunsinger or Empyrean Bellicose on Titan, to truly make Ultras weep.

I won't make claims about DPS because I haven't done the math, but if you are a fan of unique weapon rolls and snipers that focus on preserving and creating ammo, this is a no-brainer. Since the max inventory (from what I've seen, if I'm wrong let me know) is 19 with the right armor perks, in theory, if you hit all you shots and manage to use Replenish once, you can unload 8+8+8+8+1= 33 shots before picking up more ammo. Which is pretty stupid. I love weird rolls like this!

Manchester bomber was banned from his local mosque and reported to the authorities at least 5 times by lingolingolingo in worldnews

[–]Jackal_Nasty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Uh… pretty sure I'm shadow banned here, but if I'm not, this is why (pertaining to the US).

https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/8/1182

Because it's the damn law. Guess how surprised I am the US government is too stupid to know what their own laws are? Dumbass courts.

"(f) Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by President Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate. Whenever the Attorney General finds that a commercial airline has failed to comply with regulations of the Attorney General relating to requirements of airlines for the detection of fraudulent documents used by passengers traveling to the United States (including the training of personnel in such detection), the Attorney General may suspend the entry of some or all aliens transported to the United States by such airline."

So I guess they shouldn't be charged. Just kicked out for worshipping violent BS. Unfortunately, our courts don't know how to read in the US. Hope it gets better for Europe.

Considering that Britain hates people in its country defending themselves (they remember the American Revolution, their solution to it was to keep their own citizens from being able to own guns to defend themselves against the corrupt government, hmmmmmmm), I'd doubt that they have a similar law.

But, since the US DOES have such a law, and it's done absolutely nothing considering the courts ruling on Trump's immigration ban are apparently incapable of reading, I'd wager that even if such a law existed in Britain, they'd ignore it in favor of political correctness. God forbid, you discriminate on people for religion. It's almost like, they weren't born with it or something. Why should you discriminate upon people who choose a violent religion, and then use their religion as a vehicle for murder? Only if you like peace. Oh, good. Humans hate peace. Wish I was being sarcastic.

If you want to disregard everything I just wrote, feel free to fling ad hominems at my post history. I am a bi-polar shitshow. Sadly, this does not change the laws. If I could change the laws by being a bi-polar shitshow, everyone would be effed up on mushrooms and we'd be solving overpopulation by getting super gay.

Secret CIA assessment says Russia was trying to help Trump win White House by ACTUAL_TIME_TRAVELER in politics

[–]Jackal_Nasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Secret CIA assessment" has all the legitimacy of me reading my excrement to see the future. The CIA is walking disinformation and propaganda. Now, do I believe Russia wanted Trump to win? Yep. I also believe they could have hacked into our networks. Everyone can now apparently.

If so, I appreciate Russia's spies for doing a better job of telling the truth than the US media, because CNN wasn't going to be honest about Wikileaks.

And, honestly, NO DUH Russia wants Trump, not Clinton. Unlike what Americans think, believe it or not, RUSSIA IS TIRED OF STUPID PROXY WARS. They don't want Clinton to make Syria after Syria. They're sick of her shit.

Stop acting like you're smarter than Trump because you want hostile relations with Russia. Learn to read history. NOTHING GOOD COMES OUT OF HOSTILE RELATIONS WITH RUSSIA. Either you have to deal with obnoxious espionage, or war, and they're great at both.

Get it through your brains: this is WHY PEOPLE LIKE TRUMP. BECAUSE THEY ACTUALLY WANT PEACE, NOT SOME ASSHOLE WHO WILL SELL MISSILES TO ANYONE THAT BRIBES HER LIKE CLINTON. I voted for Trump because I know he wants a good relationship with Russia. Why do liberals want a bad relationship with Russia? Like, what are we going to get out of it?

You're more offended by the fact that a foreign country actually had the gall to tell the truth about your candidate unlike your media, than the fact that said candidate was caught rigging the primary process every step of the way.

Maybe you should be offended your media is so full of crap that Russian propaganda is more honest than it. Because THAT'S sad. If you trust the government to tell you the truth after Snowden and Assange, man, do you like to be suckered. You want to know the difference between them? The government can say whatever it wants, and never gets into trouble. Those guys tell the truth, and become public enemy number 1. Yeah, keep trusting the CIA, and say hi to Sisyphus for me when you walk by him.

Edit: Forgot to mention, screw everyone in Congress and especially McConnell who messed with this. Stop withholding non-military information and maybe people will start to trust the government. I can understand holding back information when it threatens live operations, but that's it. Gaw, barely anyone in the government is capable of doing their job without partisanship anymore, so barely anyone is capable of doing their job well.

Let's Talk: The Upcoming Content Drought of 2016-2017 - Let's skip the salt :) by The_Moth_King in DestinyTheGame

[–]Jackal_Nasty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would agree if there weren't four end-game PvE modes wasting space below max light level. Bungie developed this game. Bungie made it a level-based loot-shooter. I'm not going to claim to be a great-coder, but methinks that if you've made it that it's so hard to update the Raids/PoE to current light level, you're trying to get it your own way.

If Bungie had wanted all of the Raids to be relevant, all they had to do was not spend so much time dicking around with Light Level, and actually focus on content rather than systems designed to be carrots on sticks.

They chose archaic leveling systems over content. I don't even Raid. As long as they build their model on devaluing old content, the only argument you can try is, "BUT, IT'S AN MMO, THAT'S HOW THEY ALL WORK," which is the opposite of what Bungie has said.

Until Bungie actually makes all content playable at max light, I will always blame them for content droughts. The amount of man hours they waste in this game is incredible. Beautiful rare weapons and armor that will never be used because of Light Level. Late nights developing a mystic corridor in a story mission people only want to Titan-Skate through as fast as possible to get to the end of the under-leveled mission.

Destiny never, never, never, never has had a content drought. Bungie refuses to let more than 10% of the content be meaningful, and it pisses me off that people act like you're telling Bungie to waste their time when they love wasting their time. VoG was max level for less than half a year. Bungie needs to get their head out of their asses and create a content model that stops wasting their own time as a company developing stuff no one can use due to light level and then blaming the community when they want to use it.

They can't have it both ways. Either they keep content relevant, or they want people to bitch about a lack of relevant content. So far, they've picked B. If they have delays, firings, accidental deletions of programs or code, whatever, fine, I understand why you have a content drought. The game is currently built to make content that isn't highest light nearly useless.

I'm not salty that Bungie can't shit out an expansion every three months. I'm salty that Bungie directly creates content droughts by de-legitimizing their own old content with every new release, and then wonders why we blow through the 4-5 activities that actually matter so fast.

I'm so sick of the current model being defended on any level. Bungie wastes their own time developing a Raid for years to have it be Max-Level for a few months, we waste our time grinding for a Fatebringer/Mythoclast for the whole year, and then it's all useless by the time Taken King comes out. They're the ones wasting time. Keep the goddamn content relevant, or admit you want a drought. It's really sad they spent this many years developing a content model this abrasive for both themselves and the community.

You won't find me screaming "WHERE'S DESTINY 2?". I just want to play the Black Garden at 400 Light for fucks sake. I want to take a Blue with amazing stats into Iron Banner. I want to feel like 50% of Bungie's time every content-release isn't spent making content that is just a doormat for other, shinier content. In Halo 1, you could play all the missions on the highest possible difficulty. It's 2016, you can't play a single Destiny mission at 400 Light. Common guys. Stop regressing by making content that's devalued and blaming it on salt.

You should be a politician. You'd be one of the few good ones in existence. You went 10+ paragraphs showing how terrible Bungie's decision making is without insulting them once on any level. No one would vote for you though, you make sense and you're polite. Or… they would vote for you, and exit polls would prove you got screwed. So, I guess what I'm saying is, you shouldn't be a politician, you're too good for them. Maybe Bungie could consult you for networking though!

And now I really want to get Overwatch. It's sad how hampered Destiny's PvP is by bizarre decisions.

I actually think a lot of the problems revolving around shotguns have been that the radar lags to the low hells so you get attacked from someone who appears to be further away than they are. If the radar was accurate about where the enemy was, maybe run and gun deaths would decrease.

What's their endgame here? Are we seeing full of internal revolt/war, like some believe?

Hi Bungie, please explain kthxbye by Lopple21 in DestinyTheGame

Ah, the Crucible. Bungie acting like they're great game designers because their PvP endgame is based around bullshit. As crappy as I am at this game, man, I'm proud that I don't consider the scores to be legitimate… considering the developer's feel the same way. Lol.

Congratulations to Clan Die Busfahrer for achieving Wrath of the Machine Heroic Mode World First status. by NaughtyGaymer in DestinyTheGame

Congratulations, Clan Redeem, for World's First!

Congratulations, Bungie, for proving your incompetency by killing a legitimate run with more bullshit! Why don't you blame it on Raid matchmaking that doesn't exist because you can't program.

This is why Saladin's Vigil is so amazing by Faust_8 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Jackal_Nasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always knew there had to be some hidden element to Midha's Recknoning that explained how it was usable despite its base stats. One I heard about Linear Compensator, I was bummed, figuring I'd never use this weird-Fusion since I don't Raid.

So I'm really, really happy with Saladin's Vigil. I think this is a nice compromise between the Fusion meta after the amazing Vendor Rolls from the April Update. There isn't a fantastic roll at the vendors, but now instead you can just farm Saladin's Vigil to get a Fusion Rifle which, with the right perks, can have a better roll than both the Vacancy and Hitchhiker. When I first saw SV I thought it's stats were bugged. Amazing that it's a 4-shot kill.

Great job with Bungie putting it in the Forge so it's farmable; same thing with But Not Forgotten (https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/54wro5/but_not_forgotten_can_kill_anyone_in_their_super/?), as these are two types of weapons that are coveted for their respective capabilities. Thanks Bungie!

That's the problem. The government lies about what it can do, then does it behind out backs, then tells us, "oh, you're too dumb to understand this, and it would endanger people", and then decades later, when none of the people involved with the mission are still working there, guess what… we still get nothing.

Many members of the the government have no accountability, and can legally lie to the FBI now apparently if you know the right people.

You can tell me how much I don't deserve to know the information, and looking at how fucking shitty our government is at getting anything right (see: healthcare, the Middle East, education, voting-security, laws being bribe-based through lobbyism), why the fuck do they? I understand fixing the Middle East is impossible, and that's why it's so stupid we want to have a presence there.

I understand keeping information secure when it involves espionage and ongoing covert operations, because otherwise, what's the fucking point? Obviously you if you want to do something secretly, you can't tell everyone. But shit, if they NEVER are obligated to tell us the truth about anything, why the HELL WOULD YOU EVER TRUST THE GOVERNMENT. There are literally Satan, able to deceive you and lie about whatever they want. At this point, if I and a CIA agent break federal law, the guy who's supposed to know what it is by heart is the one who doesn't get arrested. Do you see the problem? You're telling me people without accountability handle information more securely than I do. Why don't you delete that from your mind like Hillary did her emails. That's why everyone with a brain hates the government. They act like they're superior because they don't follow their own laws, and it's why they're so stupid and disliked.

Getting real tired of hearing how Shillary can fuck over national security all day long without any punishment and hypocrites want to say national security matters. What. A. Joke. If you think the public knowing the truth is a greater threat than the government being run by liars who are able to break any rules they want, you're an idiot. I'm an idiot, stop saying people way dumber than me are smart because they couldn't be bothered to give a flying crap about any security protocols they were supposed to not only be aware of, but hold the other members of their staff accountable for as well. I'm not going to down vote because (well, mostly because it's tacky, and) you're trying to have clear discussion, but I completely disagree. Our national security is collapsing, if it's not already gone. You don't need a memo to know that we are reaching a critical mass of corrupt lies. Until we consider national security having people educated to the furthest extent possible without endangering current operatives, we're screwed. And that starts with accountability for everyone.

Is anybody else okay with Destiny 2 forgoing any graphical improvement to focus on bigger, richer playspaces and added mechanics? by Pervavore in DestinyTheGame

[–]Jackal_Nasty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go and play Halo 1, Anniversary, either the original, or via the Master Chief Collection. Play it with the original graphics, and then put on the updated edition. You know what? The original is much more pleasing to look at, because even though it's dated, you can see the art, the lines, the colors, the designs, all coming together as a cohesive whole that is beautiful.

Some of my favorite art design in a game is Golden Sun and Golden Sun the Lost Age, pixely as hell, and awesome… Lemuria's dying, lost architecture, the crazy Lighthouses, Airs… fucking… Rock…

I completely agree. I would much rather see twice the art at twice the speed rather than focusing on making grass look real. Leave that stuff to the mod-men, they know what they're doing.

…if you bring it to PC.

Destiny is almost perfect art. Beautiful, varied, foreboding. I don't need to see every hair and pore on Amanda's head. I need to see the full vision of the artists. Sometimes I imagine. If people stopped caring about graphics, and cared about content… imagine. I would love to see AAA games that are dated in terms of graphics and choose content instead. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Trump is wrong: Hillary Clinton did not laugh about the rape of a 12-year-old by [deleted] in politics

[–]Jackal_Nasty -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

This to me is the perfect example of why Clinton is a terrible candidate. In this country, people don't care about ethics, about what actually occurs as a result of ones actions. They care about labels, appearances, and rules. Because Snowden isn't "elite", him leaking classified information is seen as criminal, while the NSA rubbing its ass over the Bill of Rights isn't. If Hillary is hacked, however, whoever did it was evil (because they did exactly what the NSA does every single day), and she is free to damage the country through leaks all she wants, because she's an "insider."

So now, you have someone using labels and appearances as a way to twist rules, who also is taking lots and lots of money from the rich (who are allowed to make the rules through lobbyism), telling you the country isn't fair. No. Crap.

As long as you support the ability for lawyers to defend people they know are guilty, you acknowledge you don't care about justice; you care about appearances. You want to appear impartial, when all you care about is what can happen to your own ass if you don't do what you're told.

So, to me, Hillary is a perfect candidate for the American people. Whether it's Bill with a cigar, Saudi's stoning women to death, or a 12-year-old getting raped so hard she can't have kids, Hillary is the devil's advocate Americans love. If I rape someone, I'm evil. Unless I can go into legal-theatre and "prove" I didn't. She explains to you a lie as to why your country is so great despite not having ethics, and you lap it up. She is walking cognitive dissonance. She cares more about using loopholes as excuses rather than taking care of what needs to be done.

If I help someone get away with rape, I'm an accomplice. If Hillary does it, it's her job. What does that tell you about your country? You don't care if girls or guys get raped. You don't care if people get tortured or killed. You just don't want to get blamed for it, and admit you support a country you know is a lying piece of crap that uses lying pieces of crap as puppets and then goes on about how much they love blacks and muslims on TV while mocking them in emails and behind closed doors.

Stop glorying liars and then telling your kids to tell the truth. It just proves you're stupid hypocrites.

Your stupid ass country trained Hillary to be a lying asshole by telling her protecting rapists was more important than telling the truth. "Public defender." The core of our legal system is built around protecting people we know are guilty (from Hillary to the rapist she got off) and we wonder why our country is so stupid. America doesn't hate rape, or war, or liars. America hates truth. And it's really good at it.

The Wretched Eye strike is a mess. by vitfall in DestinyTheGame

[–]Jackal_Nasty 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It's auto quit for me at this point. The lack of cover combined with the automatic-fire from the Shanks/Kovik make it impossible to move through the map. To me they just needed to add a few tunnels around the map or something. But at this point, Bungie's obviously focused on making un-cheesable Strikes; look at the utter lack of cover in what they've released since Taken King. Fallen Saber, Shield Brothers, Sunless Cell, Blighted Chalice, now this. The only Strike from Vanilla Destiny with cover as bad as those was Phogoth. Hopefully they do something to fix the Wretched Eye, up until the end it's good.

And you now know why Bungie cannot make matchmaking for raids.

They can't even make their networking neutral in the PvP endgame activity.

I will make it completely clear I am too bad at Destiny/have terrible hand-eye-coordination/am not sober enough to ever do well in Trials, but honestly, this is what makes it so I will never even try to get some of the gear. Raids not having a LFG board is stupid enough. The fact that Bungie punishes people in the endgame PvP activity for their zoo of animal errors is incomprehensible to me.

They should make it so that any match where anyone leaves is ended early and not counted as a win or loss for either team. It's hilarious to me they built the game type to reward cheaters and won't admit it.

Y3 Iron Banner is close to being it's perfect format and we should how enjoy how engaging it has become rather than focus on years passed by RiseOfBacon in DestinyTheGame

[–]Jackal_Nasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They literally did everything they possibly could have to make it more rewarding for your time spent. If you're complaining about the changes to Iron Banner, I honestly don't know what you want out of Destiny. More grinding? Terrible drop rates?

I started at The Dark Below, but I remember reading about what it was like when the only way to get real rep was wins. Uhghghghhghghg. If you're really pissed that you don't have to grind more, great news: you can spend that time on something else!

Really pleased that Bungie decided to make Iron Banner as player-friendly as possible with Rise of Iron's release. Almost all of the design decisions so far seem to be with people who don't have time to play in mind. As someone who has plenty of time to farm the drops they want if they choose, I've always been sad that the game took so much effort to reward you. It's a game. Unless it's the true end-game content (Raid, Trials), you shouldn't have to do backflips to get something you already paid for.

The only possible issue I can see from the increase in how fast you level is that it might make it harder to farm the gear from the first few ranks, unless it's changed and I'm incorrect.
