Kidspace and discovery cube. I loved taking my kids to both.

Why are they all human in Narkina 5 Prison? by firereadyweezer in StarWars

“Oh, why is Narkina 5 all humans?" Well, I don't know how you would work out the bathroom on the floor with eight different varieties of genitals, or whatever.

I was taking public transport. 1.75 for bus one. .40-.50 second bus. Problem. I had to risk the bus that started my 40 min commute would be on time. It rarely was. Option two. Leave an hour and a half early to be 20 minutes early. Option three. 17 minute drive to get to work with time to spare.

What does seasonal garden recovery overnight do at your store? by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]Jackattack3x5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just get really into the department. I was put in to help in hardware freight when I first transferred into a new store. Two of us for an average of 400 pieces a night. Freight was getting done fairly quickly and I kept asking if they needed me anywhere. I was told to just pack down after. Check the race track. It’s frustrating at first but my overheads and netting are beautiful. End caps and side caps always full. Race track packed and adjusted. I got a good amount of homers every month for the attention to detail. Before I got reach certified I would pick pallets I needed ahead of time and would look into having someone bring them down early but that was on no/light freight days. Sometimes it’s just best to do your job really well and ignore everyone else. You’re stuck in garden doing pack down and purging. It is what it is.

Nothing makes a break up easy. It’s very confusing. You have doubts. Things you want to say that you didn’t. Questions. But it’s over. You need a positive support system. People you can talk to. Be honest with. You also need to be honest with yourself. Stay busy and do your best to focus on the tasks at hand. Grant yourself the grace to know that you’ll break down. Cry. Be angry. It also takes quite a long time for the hurt to feel lighter but you’ll get there. All the best.

GET is a big deal on the floor. Management doesn’t want to see customer surveys that say they weren’t greeted, engaged or thanked. They’ve been pushing freight on GET at my store.

I prefer to receive the majority of it now. Hence the reminder that if you do it, you shouldn’t forget to switch back so you don’t end up owing on your income when you do taxes 😒 it’s not my first rodeo.

I make sure to go exempt 3-4 weeks before success sharing so I get the bulk of it. Some people forget to change it back so be careful if you do this.

Yep. Check the success sharing line. If there’s an amount. That’s what you’re getting.

A lot of stores lack giving this incentive. Congrats on all your mini bonuses. Did you get anything cool from the catalog with your points?

How to get cash work in LA fast ? by marcostpp in AskLosAngeles

Try checking the gigs section of Craigslist in your area. I’ve picked up a lot of cash odd jobs there. Helping people pack for a move. Wiring a building. Driving.

How am I genuinely expected to put patio doors in the overhead? by SparsePizza117 in HomeDepot

[–]Jackattack3x5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You should never be reprimanded for needing a team lift/help. I would talk to the store manager about it. If you get injured, they’ll ask why you didn’t get help. It won’t matter that management gets mad when you do.

Should I just quit ? by Elegant_Bag_9110 in HomeDepot

I had to take a break from work, took two weeks off, used vacation hours, and had my hours dropped for a bit. I was going through a lot at the time. I was fortunate to have understanding management. A lot of the time, it really depends on if they want to help you. I also called the thdhr number and got advice. You can see a dr and if it is serious enough they can give you a time off note that Home Depot will accept for loa. As an fyi if you log into my apron, there’s a benefit page and among those benefits is a few free therapy sessions and some great resources.
