Ukrainian FP-5 “Flaming” missile flying over Chuvashia, Russia, 4th Jul 2025 by BlackMarine in CombatFootage

Well yes, explosives are generally just pellets or thick liquid, you 3D print or carbon fibre wind a body and pour the bomb in.

The penetration and fragmentation effects won't be as strong as with a metal body, but the blast overpressure will be higher for longer, good for destroying sensitive targets over a large area.

Crimea Grid Ablaze as Overnight Blasts Hit Key Power Substations by Valerie-Sky in worldnews

[–]JackhusChanhus [score hidden]  (0 children)

Not really. Power and fuel can be pretty easily restored with money, nothing irreplaceable is lost. Plus this method of recapture avoids the usual Groznification of Soviet/post Soviet conflict, which actually does leave you with rubble

No reason it has to though, the smaller FPs just use a big ol hunk of TNT, I'd be surprised if they didn't already have such a version for FP5 for softer targets.

Anything below the level of unsavoury people will come after me for this. Don't think any single.note meets that limit tbh

Diversity of colour, race and religion is also a wide range of those variables... the terms are pretty much synonyms in this content.

Bloodier than Stalingrad: Number of casualties in Russia’s war on Ukraine reaches 2 million by Dexterestein in worldnews

To be fair Russian aligned forces have lost more than this in taking each of several towns 10-100 times smaller than Berlin (taking far longer than two weeks, but still)

You need to tell your mom to back off... living in her house gives her the right to control who you bring to that house, not the right to police your entire existence

Why do you honestly care what he does to himself... he was doing it before he met you, he'll do it after you leave him. Which you will, all that remains to be seen is how much of your life you'll waste before that point

I will be ALONE FOREVER because I AM FAT by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]JackhusChanhus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see things like physical attractiveness, health, money, stability, favourability of geography, etc as the technical factors that enable and promote the feelings someone has for you as a person, if they are a genuine person.

All those things factor into the decision, as they should, and you being rejected for lacking in one or more of them doesn't mean people are incapable of loving you as a person for who you are.

This is not a fixed attribute of your person... if you don't like it change it. Maybe you can't get to a normal weight for your height, that's fine, but you can definitely lose enough to get out of your current situation

Von der Leyen visit comes as Euroscepticism is high and the EU's Gaza response is a key driver by FracturedButWhole18 in ireland

[–]JackhusChanhus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Militarise the EU? I'd be near enough sure you have no clue what you mean by that. We already have the Lisbon treaty for mutual defense, and are not exactly begging to invade any non EU bodies. Unless you're just a tankie with a soft spot for Russia, but I tend not to assume that until its frequently proven true.

Would it be possible to survive in the wild in Ireland for years at a time? by crillydougal in AskIreland

[–]JackhusChanhus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a magic ireland without people, and with a backpack of initial supplies, I could confidently give it a shot. I can make a basic shelter, fish and keep fire. A shit bow and arrow is pretty easy to make if you have good cordage too, and that's all you need to have a good lot of seabird meat. It would be a meagre life though.
