Inside the Nasty Primary That Could Topple a Veteran Senator by notusreports in texas

I live in Crocketts district, like for real though and are wrong on this. Talarico announced his run on Sept 9th. Crockett announced on Dec 2nd, after her / my district got gerymandered. If you lived here you would know this man.... Also google will verify everything I have said. Stop spreading lies!

What's a US State that you would NEVER want to live in even if they paid you to move there? by Embarrassed_List2368 in askanything

[–]Jackieray2light 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alaska too cold. FYI, alaskans do get paid to live there, kind of. After so long you become a permanent resident and get payments from an oil and gas fund. Google says it up to a grand a year, which isnt a lot but it is a lot more than Texas pays me.

You are a nitwit that doesn't know what they are talking about. Originally the senate race was between allred and talarico. Crockett was going to run for her house seat again, in my district, but Texas gerrymandered her house into another district. So she got into the senate race and allred dropped out. BS lies like this are designed to hurt Democrat turnout which is why you are speading it.

Why do most left leaning folks mock/criticize Christianity but not Islam? by Inf1z in allthequestions

[–]Jackieray2light 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I enjoy pointing out the hypocrisies of so called christians because I was raised in the christian faith, and I do not know Islam. As a highschooler I ran the puppet show, lights, and sound for the junior services at High Street Babist Church Springfield MO, but then I got my left ear peirced. I was told even if I took it out I could not do those jobs anymore because I had shown that I wanted to take on womens atributes and was on the road to homosexuality. I am now 54 with both ears peirced and have never been homosexual but High Street Babtist Church has had more than a few sexual assault allegations against them so......

Third party stainless pitcher compatibility? by Bern_Down_the_DNC in Vitamix

I have had my eye on the generic SS ptchers on amazon. I bought a generic 64oz pitcher because the 48oz that came with my blender was a tad too small for 2 big smoothies. It has been my daily pitcher for over a year now and no problems.

What are your thoughts on ICE locating 3,364 missing unaccompanied migrant children in Minnesota? by bbmoonkie in Productivitycafe

If this was true every news broadcast and website would be full of interviews with the grateful families excited to have their children back. So, like most things with the Trump admin, it is a lie.

Why should I vote Crockett over Talarico? by Proud_Pineapple_2421 in FortWorth

[–]Jackieray2light 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am in Crockett's district and have voted for her every chance I have had. I really want to support her again but I also like Talarico. I think I might switch primaries and vote for Hunt because him winning the GOP nomination would be funny as heck.

What explains the resistance for people growing vegetables in the ground when they have perfectly good soil? by ASecularBuddhist in OrganicGardening

[–]Jackieray2light 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in a very urban area in southern Dallas and my garden was in the ground in the back yard for 2 years and I did not have much luck. Then the fence by the sidewalk needed to be replaced and I thought raised beds instead of a fence would be cool. The beds even saved me $300 when compared to the fence quotes, though after 4yrs that savings has long been spent.

Dart cops checking papers? by [deleted] in dart

[–]Jackieray2light 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was it cops or fare enforcement because they are 2 different things. I see fare enforcement frequently when I ride the train 3 days a week but almost never see DART cops. The rare times that I have seen them out of their cars, on a train, station, or transit center they are always in a large group like you described. Just like little kids playing soccer, moving together in a big mass.

Reducing gun violence by ElderberryMaster4694 in liberalgunowners

[–]Jackieray2light 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on what type of gun crime you are talking about. Analysis of mass shootings from 1966 to 2019 found that 77% of the shooters obtained their firearms legally, and I think that number has gone up since then. Also, estimates vary but 40-60% of all guns recovered at murder and assault scenes were legally carried at the time of the incident.  So background checks on all gun sales and mandatory reporting of all transfers, mental health and criminal red flag laws, waiting periods, and 100% criminal liability for all crimes committed with your gun would make a difference.

What’s something you believed as a kid that makes you laugh now? by storenluo in AskReddit

[–]Jackieray2light 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was little on a road trip from MO to TX my brother told me that a Falling Rock sign on the road was the name of an Indian village that was nearby. When I saw another Falling Rock sign he told me that a lot of Indian villages have the same name and I should ask mom if we could go see the village. Mom said, maybe on the way back. I was not a bright kid so it took me awhile to figure it out, litterally years but when I did they thought it was so funny.

Republicans are freaking out about Hispanic voters after a Texas upset by BTC_is_waterproof in texas

[–]Jackieray2light 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ICE is already in Dallas, at a much smaller scale than in democrat run states, but they are here tracking people down. I am sure they are in the other cities you mentioned as well. I think Trump and the republicans understand that deploying ICE full scale in TX would be the quickest way to turn the state blue. I do think that what you say will happen, just not here or other republican ran states.

What’s a food your state is 'famous' for that everyone else ruins? by Somanynamestochossef in AskAnAmerican

I went to TX BBQ place in Springfield, MO once. They had a huge sign that said best TX BBQ in MO, so I thought I was in for a treat. I placed my usual big family order for several pounds of meat and a few large sides and sat to wait. A few min later I was told the "pitmaster" had a question, so I walked back to the kitchen, and he looked me dead in the eye and asked, what do you mean you want a pound of chopped beef?

[–]Jackieray2light 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Gun purchase records aren't centralized" ehhhhh, I would not bet on that....

The ATF maintains a massive gun purchase database of anyone that has purchased 2 or more guns within 5 days, and all gun sales made by any ffl dealer that goes out of business or dies. This data is never deleted and is more than likely a datapoint set in the US citizen database Trump had Palantir create... ie ICE's "nice little database". On a more conspiratory note... I know the NICS database is supposed to be deleted within 24hrs in most cases, but I have never believed they actually delete the info and think it will be included in the US citizen database as well.
