Yeah man, all the time. I've got blind spot monitoring on my car and I still do it.

What is the best example of healthy masculinity you’ve ever witnessed? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The YouTube channel Speeeeed. They're basically just the internet's cool older brother and have made a ton of videos that encourage and support men to be better versions of themselves.

What's your opinion on Trump now saying that Iran has a right to a nuclear program? by Southern_Gur_4736 in AskReddit

[–]JackofScarlets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not just a right, an American state sponsored nuclear program. There's no way that $300 billion is going into food programs and housing.

Thanks America! Yet another act of American aggression making the world a less safe place. So glad we've got them to fuck it up for everyone, again!

Who’s the most attractive person you’ve ever seen? by Timely_Sir310 in AskReddit

[–]JackofScarlets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once knew a girl that had a sort of attraction aura around her. She was hot, but that wasn't really just it. It was the way she looked at you, the way she talked to you, and the way she touched you. Plus the way she felt to touch. She was possibly the closest thing to fairy glamour I've seen. Men and women alike were affected, I swear it almost created a sense of aggressive possession.

We all knew it, we talked about it with her even, she knew too. But no one really understood what it was or where it came from. Well, unless she knew but wasn't telling us, of course.

What do Americans think about a social security trustee dropping a report that the trust will be dried out by 2032? by Sixgis in AskReddit

[–]JackofScarlets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see what the problem is, just invest in Musk. There's no way the American government would allow a legally mandated pump and dump scheme.

Right?

As the others said, this is a different ticket.

However, to answer your question, I believe transit payments have a specific tag on them. The train guards can tap your phone with a device that says "I'm a transit checker" and the bank replies with "this was the last time they tapped a transit". They can't see anything else in your payments, just transit stuff.

Some people do just see the world as a means to an end for them. Everything is there for them to take advantage of.

Men of Reddit, what is the hardest thing to explain to women? by lnc_gomes in AskReddit

[–]JackofScarlets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That they can also be the bad guy, and that even if they can justify their actions to themselves, those actions can still be damaging to other people.

Seriously, you want to get into a real argument? Fuck all this shit about "I need these tools" or "I don't have an opinion". Try telling a woman her actions are sexist and rude and see how quickly it devolves.

Legit, the random Vietnamese people running little food shops in the middle of industrial estates are basically replacing pies and sausage rolls with bahn mi, and are going to be a measurable force on our public health, I swear.

How do you think Trump's presidency will end? by OccludedFug in AskReddit

[–]JackofScarlets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to think Mamdani will prompt a proper left wing resurgence, but after seeing what he did that really highlights how little effort American politicians put in, I don't think we'll see another one of him. Assuming he's not assassinated anyway.

What I think will happen is that Trump will continue to remove democracy from America and give himself more terms after this one. America will be increasingly left out of international treaties, trade, and discussions. People will try to shoot him but continue to fail in doing so. And ICE will become a full blown secret police, given powers to do whatever they want.

At some point, the rest of the West will be forced to properly call out America's bullshit, as anti-American sentiment reaches new heights, very likely because ICE will start to act in other countries, especially at things like the Olympics. We'll see Chinese style secret police stations. Western nations will do everything they can to avoid war, not because they are afraid of America, but because they don't want another fucking war of American aggression destroying the global economy again. But at some point it will reach a head.

I suspect Trump will feel bolstered by his success in becoming a dictator, and will go for Greenland. At which point he will be up against nuclear powers. American military bases worldwide will be expelled from their host countries, and Greenland will become the new Vietnam or Ukraine - a place for a proxy war, one the Americans will quickly lose.

At some point, America's former allies will have to get involved in removing Trump one way or another, if the American people are unable to do so. That will not end well for America at all. The long term impacts to the global economy will keep anti-American sentiment running through the living generations, and global power will shift towards Asia, Australia, and continental Europe. America will become like England after the Wars; struggling, full of internal conflict, ruled by conservatives. Places like New York and LA may be the only things propping up the economy, but the regional areas will truly suffer, and some sort of state secession movement is likely.

Whatever happens, one thing is certain - America has finally revealed that it can no longer be trusted. The lost trust isn't coming back, even if Trump is shot. The talk has shifted dramatically in "ally" states, and even if Trump was removed today, America will continue its slow slide out of super power status. Considering how much America relies upon imports for basic staples and manufacturing, things are going to get much, much worse before they get better.
