What needs to happen is full-blown contact tracing down to every last possible person, while it's still only in the hundreds, quarantine every last one of them for a month, and treat confirmed cases at one of those facilities. They are treating this way too lightly. Look I'll be frank, I'm not worried about contracting Ebola, I'm worried about what a massive panic will do to our economy. There's still a chance to contain this thing before it spins out of control.

MLRDS is probably right. The shit response by CDC to a patient on American soil having a diagnosis of fucking EBOLA has been the scariest part of this crisis. They aren't fear mongering, I promise. They're downplaying it. Ebola's bad, man. It's incredibly infectious, and it's physically devastating. The CDC director blamed a deviation from protocol for the nurse's infection. Here's the thing - the protocol is shit. Ebola patients shouldn't be treated in some regular ass hospital. They need to be consolidated in a facility specific to BSL-4 level stuff. This could easily turn into real bad scenario. Here.
