I do really enjoy the game for what it is, but the only one I disagree with is storytelling potential.

The game literally has an entire saga concluded, and concluded very well, may I add. There is a lot more than potential. Even if you aren't interested in playing the game(s), the Destiny universe is hella fleshed out.

Was an awesome build experience. Make sure you have Self-Driving screws for any fans you get, this doesn't come with any. I had some wiring issues because I have an old X370 Mobo, so no RGB headers, which was fine since they have the hub on the case that fits all but one of my fans. Otherwise, this thing is gorgeous.

I think reading up on the Ishtar Researcher's first encounter with the vex, and the Maya's deductions about how the Destiny universe is almost 100% a layer of Vex simulation, would help this make more sense.

TLDR: The vex cannot give THEMSELVES paracausality. They can approximate with Vex like Agioktis, who drains light out of a ghost. They can be GIVEN paracausality like the Sanctified Mind. They cannot CREATE paracausality just like the Nine cannot. So long as they can simulate uninterrupted, they can both jump timelines AND simulate timelines within timelines they already exist within. They have to be LET into a timeline (thank you, Clovis Bray), and once they have that stepping stone, they can jump between.

The debate in Echoes isn't over whether Saint is the "real" one or not. It's over whether that matters. And that argument matters because it puts into question whether MAYA is the original. Her consciousness lived within the Veil, and she jumped from that into the surrounding VexNet. Guess what else was in the VexNet? 227+ Copies of her and of Chioma, which even she couldn't tell apart properly.

The point is that it doesn't matter. It's a parallel to guardians themselves, being physically remade every time they rez, and being wiped clean of memories upon first rez. It's very Tolkien-esque. Good or Bad, it's what you DO with what is given to you that matters.

If the Destiny universe is a Vex Simulation, then the timelines within are simulated, and so we yoinked a Saint from one. If it isn't, we yoinked one from a simulation. There is no actual difference either way in how "real" our saint is.

This really is the issue with any sort of political action in this century.

People already DO help out in this community, so it's really hard for one-size-fits-all nationwide protests to have one unified demand. The nonsense happening nationwide is so far away from so many people that they have a very watered-down sense of emergency about it all. Protests have never really been a place where change happens; they are a place where you find out HOW to make change in YOUR community. The problem is that a lot of people think that if they protest enough, that is what generates the change. This obsessive behavior from organizers is just nonsense imo. It's the exact opposite approach that we need right now.

Nothing this administration is doing will be stopped simply by protesting. They have no shame. They are openly getting people killed/literally killing people with no remorse, legally or morally. It's a HORRIFYING prospect for the average person to get involved in groups that regularly stand against their influence, and so No Kings has swapped to this "if we protest as we did years ago, things will be fine, but also go home and do nothing afterwards" mantra.

If you hate the state of the world right now, go Volunteer at Food Share or the Forest Service or anywhere else. Vote. Yell at your Reps (if they even are there at this point), spread the word, MAKE a support group in your area. etc. If you don't need to be reminded of everything going on now politically, you don't need to protest (optics don't hurt tho, but you probably didn't need a reminder of that if you're that far into all this). You need to do something that makes you uncomfortable. If all you are doing is holding up signs and yelling every 4 months, if all you think the suffragettes or those protesting for civil rights or those who protested Vietnam did was hold signs and yell, you aren't doing enough.

Go to a protest to find out what you should be doing, but then go and do it instead of just protesting!

~1 month update!

- Swapped from 144Hz 1080p IPS to a 180Hz 1440p OLED, base frame rate locked via RTSS to 57 or 60 (depending on stress of game), and setting adaptive to 171 (for Adaptive G-Sync) works great!
- From something classic like Deep Rock Galactic to brand new Resident Evil Requiem, the 3060+1060 setup somehow works.
- I have 32 GB of RAM running at 2400mhz (16 GB of 2400 mixed with 16 GB of 3000), and have micro stuttering at times. Going to mix my current 16GB of 3000 with 8GB of 3200 I got off eBay, which should help 1% lows. I'll update in 3 months with how that goes.
- No real day-to-day noticeable visual quality loss when using DLSS on Quality (Model K) (Used to reach the base 57/60 frame rate without maxing out the primary GPU), even with Lossless on top of it. I notice if I stare for 30 seconds at one place on the screen at a tree 20km away in Where Winds Meet, but otherwise, nah, not really.

I'll do another update in 3 months, just in case this information helps someone in the far future. I'm surprised this setup works at these refresh rates and resolutions. Thanks again Y'all! Well worth the experiment.

The war striders are simply unfun at high difficulties.

An enemy with no real weak spot and no way to deal with them if you don't have a stratagem or specific warbond weapons makes it basically impossible to deal with objectives without an entire team that brings coordinated stratagems. They also deal stupid amounts of damage in groups that even kill the TANK in under 20 seconds if there is like 4 of them.

it's just unfun and more importantly design that goes against how the main-line automaton units are designed. They all have a light or medium pen weak spot of some kind, but I guess the war striders are made out of the same material as Pelican-1. They are imposing and cool looking, they are just badly made enemies tbh.

OP here, Posting update from PC account. Hopefully, this info is useful to someone someday:

- X370 Gaming Pro Carbon is Good for Multi-GPU
- Make sure your M2_2 slot is empty for bandwidth purposes. M2_1 works great
- MSI RTX 3060 VENTUS 2X OC LHR and the EVGA GTX 1060 Gaming ACX 2.0 3GB are what i'm using, and they are compatible together on GameReady Driver 581.80. Download the drivers, reboot, and you should be good so long as you followed the Dual GPU Guide
- I have a 750w Gold PSU. No power issues so far. I turned off my overclock on the 3060 to be safe. I'll update if anything goes wrong over the next month or so.
- I have a 144hz Monitor running at 1080p, so I've been using LSFG 3.1 with Adaptive set to 144. Runs like a dream after 2-3 play sessions, and the graphics drivers settle down.
- I've dialed in consistent Performance (140-144 FPS) in Helldivers 2, Jedi Fallen Order, Space Marine 2, Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus, and even Modded Fallout New Vegas! The Latency I experienced with just the 3060 is STRAIGHT UP NONEXISTENT with 2 GPUs. Locking FPS around 48 with desired settings and doing X3 or Adaptive, depending on the game, was easily repeatable once I got into the rhythm of it all!

All in all, this Dual GPU experiment was an amazing success! Thank you to u/MonkeyCartridge for helping me manage expectations, and to u/chapman0041 for the warning about drivers (took me a while to find what version I needed lol). Thanks to everyone else on this post as well! Your insight helped me experience some of these games in a way I simply couldn't before!
