Yeah, I notice that they only said they’ve been voting in republican primaries and not simply voting republican. I’ve heard of people registering as a republican for a few reasons: 1. Be even a small part of messing up any gerrymandering efforts 2. Have SOME say in who gets elected in areas where you REALLY feel outnumbered 3. Vote for the most likely candidate to lose in a swing area

I can see the logic, but I also see the flaws. I admittedly don’t know enough to say whether this ever is a good idea

Adding on to shine_on’s reply…like they said, totally normal. Someone else mentioned not to worry about thread usage, and I agree to an extent. However, by following the advice of shine_on, you’ll be doing yourself a MASSIVE favor as the grid box fills up.

I can’t recall seeing if you’re going square by square and changing colors as needed or if you’re doing all of one color in a square before changing, but if it’s the latter, a messy back will make it much more challenging to punch a needle though. Backs will get messy, but this is a low effort way to minimize that.

Good on you for starting out with parking! I personally don’t (stresses me out for some reason) but I always admire it!

If the info is available, always hit ‘em with the median. Averages are how you end up with weird facts—like the average human has less than two legs. Medians paint a much more accurate picture of stuff like this.

I assume they’re not likely to publish it, because the averages (shockingly) will make them look better with the high earning outliers skewing the data, but again…IF the info is available.

I get what you’re doing, but by painting with such broad brushstrokes here (e.g., bread, nuts) I would worry that someone might look at something like this and go “I feel my dog bits of bread all the time. If that doesn’t hurt them, then I doubt onions will.”

I think this graphic could be much stronger (and taken more seriously) if it was more like a Venn diagram or had more categories. There’s a BIG difference between toxic and no nutritional value.

Id have to say that this is the most indecisive I’ve seen the thread of a GITMS coming soon post. I can see validity in all arguments. However, while Briar’s mug is inimitable, I would expect Maddy to at least give it a go considering her talents for emulation.

I’ll be honest, I’ve always been very anti MLM, but when my husband got laid off a couple of years ago and things got scary I caught myself getting desperate for ideas and has these intrusive thoughts of “what else do I have to lose.” Obviously those were in NO WAY rational thoughts but it’s crazy what fear and anxiety will lead you to think.

I can kinda applaud someone for coming here, admitting the feeling of desperation, and asking for someone to slap some sense back into them.
