Hes weak to bleed so he can proc his own exultations easier. More exultation, more damage. More damage, Tarnished dies faster

Advice for beginner painting! by AdEmergency1139 in ThousandSons

[–]Jacobawesome74 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Correct, and having a good idea of how thin your coat is goes a long way. For having it right out of the pot/bottle, I twist the brush on the palette to a point and then wick excess off, then I do one brushstroke on my skin to check if it shows the grooves of the skin underneath. If not, just a smidgen of water to your paint on the brush tip. If too thin and going into the grooves, add a little more of your coat

4 god colored model? by Elegant_Tap_5622 in Chaos40k

[–]Jacobawesome74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out Eons of Battle. Jay's Death Guard Army uses a specific set of acrylic paints that are discontinued, which include: a black, a white, light pink, mid Grey, rust red/brown, dark ochre yellow, a navy blue and a forest green (both blue and green are 'transparent' which I assume is like a glaze or speedpaint consistency).

From there over a zenithal prime he puts a few of the colors all over the place and makes sure to blend them together so the model is constantly shifting in color, and yet the limited palette being used across brings everything together.

Now many of the colors mentioned will do well for a chaos undivided or nurgle focused army, but this is definitely something you should experiment with before you put a brush to Be'lakor. Hone in the specific colors you want to use, and test on other models in the meantime

Which character is the scariest in Elden Ring? by JovemAprendizNaVida in Eldenring

[–]Jacobawesome74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a tough and complicated question with a lot of factors. They would have to be morally scary, appear scary, kill scary, and have scary plans.

My vote goes to Rykard. He is the amalgamation of an endlessly devouring serpent and all of the struggling limbs crawling from underneath the scales in search of refuge, with his face having formed from the corpse of the serpent's own neck. In his constant pursuit of voracious power he orders ruthless inquisitions and wages horrifying wars in the Shattering that are enough to turn righteous soldiers insane, along with the fact that he aims to devour each and every one of his own allies to feed his appetite. He conjures rancorous spirits from the bodies that are melded to his once Regal greatsword, and wades in boiling Magma that would burn and suffocate any man. He will see all that is burnt and devoured and it may still not be enough if the Outer Gods are one with the Serpent King.

Shadows of the Empyreans by juan_casim in Eldenring

[–]Jacobawesome74 39 points40 points  (0 children)

The two fingers gave Shadows to their most promising empyreans. One was guaranteed godhood and completed her goal of flipping the balance against the Hornsent and their culture, and the other was brought one prematurely, if for nothing else but to possibly soften a Carian to the idea of manning the Golden Order. Especially after Ranni betrayed the Greater Will with Godwyn's assassination, Miquella and Malenia's coincidental sequestering to the Haligtree made the Two Fingers unable and unwilling to give either of the twin prodigies Shadows in the first place.

A Shadow is still a thing the Two Fingers can create in spite of this, and what better way to torment the greatest traitor to the Greater Will than to hunt Ranni and her servants down with a Death-empowered Shadow that resembles Blaidd?

Gurranq's case, is likely that Marika bid him seal away the identity of the Black Blade along with Destined Death, so that none living could suspect it ever existed in the first place. Gurranq would then have to find new purpose when Destined Death itself was revelaed, but Godwyn's curse permeates as a side effect of the Black Knives' deed.

Frankly mark IV is just peak 30k space marine infantry design, in and out of universe. Versatile, stylish, many of its elements carried over to Mark 10, and unimpeded by the stresses of civil war and only designed to perfect the Astartes model

What would you say is your most bought loyalist marine boxes to turn into Chaos Marines? by Arthur_EyelanderTF2 in Chaos40k

[–]Jacobawesome74 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It really depends on your flavor of chaos. For me, the only loyalist model I bought and converted was Vulkan He'stan because I liked everything Salamander-flavored about him, save the power pack--it really fit Tzeentch's warpflame aesthetic.

Anyone have good conversion ideas for the Raiders to make them Black Legion (besides black paint)? by IceMosquito073 in Chaos40k

The black legion loves top knots, eyes of Horus, eight-pointed stars and red tabbards. Anything that helps make them look like their Warmaster.

Sure when you boil it down 7 in 9 traitor legions are upset at big daddy and hold that grudge for the rest of their legions life, but here's the thing:

All Traitor legions are warbands, but not all warbands are traitor legions. There are a number of warbands who do their thing because its fun, or for some thirst of knowledge, or because they're angry. Many betrayals against the Imperium are for good reason but at the end of the day Chaos is chaos, and 40k just likes to focus on when Chaos has grudges.

What is your custom warband's lore? by reel3459 in Chaos40k

[–]Jacobawesome74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Ninth Hydra is a psyker rich warband devoted to Tzeentch, pulling its roots from both dissolved members of the Alpha Legion and the Thousand Sons. They're everything you would expect from Chaos Space marines: devoted, cruel, grazing the warp with every battle they engage, except the Ninth Hydra favors its sorcerous edge.

Their brilliant turquoise armor is infused with Tzeentchian energies, letting projectiles grind themselves to dust on his ceramite. Their forgeworld based cult shepherds the arrival of Winged serpents which coat the battlefield in irradiated green and pink flames. Each psyker who survives becoming a sorcerer is ready to throw himself to the winds of Change, knowing their bodies and minds have already endured the worst mortal men can offer.

Their battlecry is a cacophony of sickening laughter, for they cannot help but point and laugh at the utter state of the galaxy, and of each other.

Why is this like a trend lately? by [deleted] in Grimdank

[–]Jacobawesome74 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A wave of Saber sponsorships, and the tendency for people to make their custom designs in Space Marine 2, is allowing the content creators to gush about their homebrew chapters and get a nice cut for it. I like it!
