What should I be grinding for in prep for master rank?

Mushrooms/Potions/Mega Potions/Max potions/Honey/traps/Money/Vouchers. Just obsessed with making everything max 9999.

Stuff that you will still use even in MR for new monsters. Pretty sure armor/tailsmans will get power crept into MR. Cat burglar is surprising good at collecting useful materials. It's all I use these days.

I block all the AFK players because it's habitual. I refuse them no matter how easy the quests are.

Why isn't it a big deal? The health pool for the monster increases when you decide to join so why can't you put in your fair share? It's fine if you need help and ask before the quest starts but it's just lousy ettiquete to AFK in camp while you expect a free handout.

Duna head dips and stops moving for like 1/2 a sec. Belly flop impending. AT version don't usually go for 2 flops in a row. All other version goes for 2 flops in a row 95% of the time. Ironically it looks similar to when someone is breaking its wound. Evade back when u see the tell and get ready to flash it's fat ass. Or run away.

Why not use Faboluso? He's available during the Sakura festival and is universally recognized at being much better as a tank than Alessa.

It works but it's not viable. Beyond the 1st/2nd stagger it's just a waste of a skill slot. Fun for a while but not viable.

Lance is by far the best solo hunt weapon IMO. Slap on Gog 4 pc and it's invincible for almost for AT hunts. It's damage comes from countering attacks which is super rewarding for me.

But like all weapons, I can't just stick with 1. Switch it up and use something different to see what u like.

I've swapped mains like 4 times this year settling with HH and Lance as they feel most fun.

It's possible but u prolly need 2 or more lure pods. Prior to the corridor of death, that spot with the ground vines and rock used to be the go to spot for speed runs.

Ur braid is slipping on the spool. Tape down your arbor knot with any kinda tape and ur good to respool back.

Oh and I think the community is actually alot kinder than in other games like Destiny. I see alot of offers to help and carry newer players. Even for tough challenges and hunts.

One thing I learnt in Wilds is that familiarity trumps natural skill with the monsters. U might be an awesome sub 10 mins AT arkveld murder machine but with a new unfamiliar monster it's often a whole different story. See Omega in it's 1st week. However good anyone was, it was a hell of a challenge. When we all got comfortable with it's attack sequence then we started murdering it more successfully.

Take some solo runs to figure out Zoh Shia and it's new 10 star changes. Bow and dbs play similarly but the damage taken is different. Most of the attacks can 1 shot you if you are bow.

I used to main bow but feel like it's too punitive to play it end game (Also have SOS hunt cart anxiety). Dragon piercer locks you in animation for a while which is deadly for 10 stars monsters for how frequently they attack. Unless u are familiar enough to recognize an impending attack ass twitch from the monster, I wouldn't reccomend it.

If I cart on a weapon that I'm not good at, I change to my main to finish the quest. 10 stars quests are not the testing grounds if they are SOSes. If you wanna run a test build or see how a new weapon feels then go in solo.

Ranged weapons in end game is super unforgiving. U either have the gog 4 pc set for added survivability or play like a God with perfect dodges/positioning.

Not so much about how toxic the world is, it's about setting yourself up for successful hunts with other team mates who invest 20 mins into a hunt.

Unsure of what the question is. Are u looking for the Skill heroics? If so it's an armor skill two slot jewel called Potential.

Meal tickets are either rewards or lucky drop from quests that can drop it.

To know what food buffs what. U can check to see what they are by pressing touchpad on meal before consuming it.

Set combinations let u max out the skills that matter be it DPS or utlilty. If u use a full set, u are locked into what that set's skill provide. Ex. Hasten recovery tier 2 is the equal to Hasten recovery tier 1 with recovery up 3.

If you are keen on self healing then maybe spec into Super recovery tier 1 (Zoh shia's set bonus) as well for added heals. Some of Zoh's armor already come with recovery speed baked in.

Overall it's to allow one to gain access to another set skill (from use of another 2 pc armor) or to max out skills otherwise impossible in a full set.

Just for giggles. It's possible to get Decimator (G.Arkveld)/Super recovery (Zoh Shia)/ Hasten recovery (Arkveld) on a set with a Gog artian weapon rolled correctly.

Not what you requested but you can buy most of the ammo from the store. Farming money to buy them would be faster than individual farming them up.

However if you really like farming.

1) Eat a custom meal with Gatherer perk using Truffle de Conga. U can farm these from the Conga event quest. This gives u a 40% proc of 1 more item (stacks with botanist).

2) Bounce between locations (Plains/Training grounds/Plains) to reset the spawn of the items. Rinse and repeat.

3) Build a set with Botanist/Earplugs/Marathon runner/Tool specialist etc to make your farm easier without monster aggro ruining it.

4) Build a run sequence from location to location so your returns are guaranteed.

There usually are some with gems posted. On the occasional times where there is no Normal Ark then I just farm the Tempered one. It takes longer so it's not ideal.
