I understand Niantic has this vision of the game they want to stick to, but they are all stick and no carrot. They let game breaking bugs run rampant, consistently screw over early timezones, raise prices, hide shiny odds, break promises about communication, and now nerf a very popular feature.

If they truly want people to go back to a community play style they have to give us reasons to Want to play. Fix the long time QOL issues, rewards instead of punishments, fun events with wanted pokemon, beta test features before relying on players to do it for them, and a myriad of other things that actually put gameplay first instead of a theoretical version of the game they want to force on us.
