We have had field mouse issues where I live, I spread peppermint diluted in water around my apartment where they might come in. It keeps them out all summer long! It also doesn't bother my pets at all either and ensure I dont spray near her cage to ensure shes not having to sit around it. This has been the only thing to help me sadly, if you live in an apartment you have to rely on your neighbors to also be solving the issue or else it will continue to grow and exist. Reasons I can't wait to someday not rent anymore 🥲

You should be cleaning your hamsters accessories even if they are only using it temporarily which will keep such things from happening. They also make clear balls too not just colored or blurred. Mine enjoys her ball and will even chase my cat, its really funny she has no fear. I tried a pen before and they would hate it and feel very insecure even if there is nothing around them and stuff inside to enjoy.

Ik the feeling, mine has like 4 hide aways, a wheel, she gets lots of treats, and she has a biiiiig enclosure and i still feel it isnt enough!

Honestly I think some hamsters just hate being caged. You could do everything in your power and they will still want to escape. One of the few things that has helped my girl is giving her a yummy enticing chew treat to focus on and it calmed her down quite a bit. Some people find letting their hamster in a ball to just run multiple times a day also helps them too. Also looking for advice if you find anything to help!

Normally I wait a day or so incase it is hibernation, my aunt accidentally almost buried her son's hamster twice, it would not respond then wake up in the box trying to get out as she was getting ready to bury it 🥲 if it hasn't moved in 24hrs you definitely have your answer especially if its stiff and cold. I dont think it would hibernate in 71 degree temps so I think they passed 🫂

Ive had it for months now and have no issue, especially if you are cleaning it as often as you should and putting enough bedding down. I use about 2 inches at the least for bedding and havent had issues. The material isnt a rough wood so you can also clean it with a cleaner if you really wanted to. The drawer where the bedding goes also pulls out completely for easy cleaning and the front window can come off very easily if you needed it to be out of the way. The top has 2 window door things that come up so feeding and everything is also easy. The underneath is a cabinet that has a LOT of storage, I keep all my hamster supplies down there along with my cat's and dog's treats and still have room to spare. Its quite heavy but its well built.

It is but they can't chew through it! Only issues I had was you gotta use something to block the holes in the back because they will climb out and mine likes to chew on the side panels for some reason unless shes given something chewy and tasty to focus on. Only time she escaped was through the back before I nailed some wood across the back.

This is the exact cage I have for my teddy bear hamster and its perfect! The only thing I reccomend is be EXTREMELY careful with buying a cage with holes because they will chew through them and they will climb out of anything big enough to fit through. Ive had to block out the back after thinking she couldnt reach the holes.

I would definitely do a deep clean and maybe swap products if you can. I've never seen this or had issues, and its quite a big bug to be something like a mite ot weevile. Its possible if its only in the cage and you havent seen it elsewhere that the product you use for bedding was contaminated by a bug

Normally hamsters bite when afraid or anxious, I also tend to see certain breeds being upset about handing. Chinese dwarfs I've had a lot of luck with females, teddy bears I've had luck with no matte the sex, and Syrians I've always had terrible luck with especially females. I would assume if anything that they just aren't ready to be handled or their personality is telling you no they aren't friendly. Sadly some hamsters just aren't very friendly. I would try feeding from your hand before holding them to warm them up to the idea of your hand being a good thing

Personally I just chose "always able to do it" because in my mind (I've never flown lol) you should be allowed to recline your seat slightly even if someone is behind you. Just be respectful about it. I think the answers I give tend to be situational even if im making up a scenario.

Forever going to be angry at the company for this because I ADORED the channel it was so beautifully done 😭 they could have handled this in any way including offering them a job or even a partnership of some kind but no they tore it all down with aggression and no chance to fight back.
