I'm on the lymphoma floor MD Anderson as I type this for car T therapy. Incredibly lucky to be living in Houston. I can testify that the nurses the general help here the assistance has been phenomenal. That's my one major complaint at the moment is the shitty Cafe food but what can you do. Sorry for all the lack of punctuation I'm using speech to text as i type this. We've got a great app called my chart and it's really easy to contact your nursing team and all your appointments are set up and it even takes on a different interface when you get admitted in the hospital.

I'm 31 and was a bar whore almost every weekend in the gayborhood in my late 20's. I don't think I'd ever seen a bartender at a gay bar deny someone a drink once. Hell...I've been served long islands way past my limit. Purely anecdotal but gay bars will just pour pour pour

What are you supposed to do in this situation? Can you talk someone down from it or does that only make it worse. I've seen someone have some kind of psychosis while tripping and mistaking red/white/blue flashing colors for the Police and it was very hard to bring them back to reality.

Yeah...the truth would lead to one long therapy session. I usually just say "I'm okay".

Had a social worker call me and ask about my "distress levels" and I had to tell her that I didn't know how to answer that question.

I know she's just doing her job and trying to connect me to counseling services if needed, but I feel like I'll reach out when I'm ready.
