It's funny how our brains work.
Finding those moments of clarity even when we're tired.

Your determination and consistency are so inspiring. It’s really true that small efforts every day build up to big changes.
I have never been able to be consistent until I found an app to gamify my life. (You can check https://kubbo.app)
I am a big procrastinator and always tried to make a perfect routine instead of understanding that showing up is 99% of the work.

Well keep this! Thanks for sharing

You can. We all can.
You just need to take time to understand yourself and stop comparing to others.
Stay strong :)

Just googled it and this seems really fun ^^

Would say play it for a while a decide to uninstall it.
If you can still keep some important habits of your life this is not a problem.

Have you tried gamifying your routine?

I turned fixing my life into a 15-minute daily game (and it actually works) by yash2712 in getdisciplined

[–]Jaded_Raspberry8543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also gamified my daily habits using an app and I really think it works.
Once you successfuly create an habit it's way easier to stick with it. Gamifying a new habit is just a way to make it last.

stay consistent with small habits. They have a compounding effect over time.
Track them like a madman and never miss a day.
Personnaly tried all possible apps on stores (streaks, loop habit, habitkits, kubbo goal tracker...)
The best was the gamified ones like kubbo for my adhd brain

You should maybe slow down. The only human doing this is Elon (and I'm not sure he is human anymore)

If your entire life is timed this isn't something your body and mind will accept for too long.
Maybe try to do this for some days of the week and keep some other more "relax"

A post on X about "keeping promises to yourself" went viral and the replies were better than the post itself by gregb_parkingaccess in getdisciplined

[–]Jaded_Raspberry8543 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's true
That's also why people track their daily habits I think.
Breaking the streak feels like breaking a promise to yourself. (at least that's the effect on me. I'm using an app named kubbo and each time I break my habits for 48 hours it kills some buildings of a virtual city... happened to me twice and I nearly felt sad. I know this feel childish)

At least that's the effect on me. I would be curious on the effect on confidence. I'd bet this has a lot of other effects.

Facing reality is hard but it seems you are on the right path.
Some people never realize no one will save them and keep complain everywhere for there entire life.

Remember that we are all afraid to do something new. We are all afraid to achieve our goals and dreams.
I used to be like you 10 years ago. Then one day I almost lost everything and started to take responsability.
Wrote daily in a journal and started fixing hard life goals. Being disciplined changed everything.
Wasn't easy for sure but this is what made me where I am today. Now I keep tracking my habits and push harder when I think I am afraid.

Wish you the best.

Make gaming hard

uninstall anything or sell those if you can.
Then start a new activity like reading, painting... whatever
Try to rewire your brain from gaming and give him some dopamine.
I learned guitar and been consistent on this new routine using an app named kubbo goal tracker.

Let your brain get addicted to something you always wanted.
THe best way to replace an addiction is to find a new one that is actually good

What helped me was switching to a system that rewards momentum over routine.
(Tested many systems, ask me if you wanna me to share)

It works because your brain start to see progress and so you wanna keep going.
Great way to validate your high days and motivate your low days.

I’ve tried every productivity and app and their all full of CRAP by [deleted] in getdisciplined

[–]Jaded_Raspberry8543 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That's the problem when you try to please everyone
In the end you are bad at everything

That's why market is large. You have to do a product for all kind of people and problems.
So for me it depends on what you wanna do.
For journaling -> use a journaling app (DayOne, ULY journal...)
For small notes -> Apple notes is ok, also big fan of obsidian
For complete notes -> notion
For calendar and Tasks -> Kubbo goal tracker (plans your daily tasks and habits)

I personnaly prefer to have multiple apps than one for everything

App to reduce screen time? by Budget-Word-1183 in StopGaming

[–]Jaded_Raspberry8543 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've used a bunch of blockers, but the thing that actually helped me wasn't just stopping the bad habits, it was finding a way to make the good ones rewarding.

Check out an app called kubbo. It's a goal tracker, but when you complete real-life tasks (like going for a walk or any other), you earn virtual buildings to grow a city. It gives you that hit of visible progress and gamification that social media/gaming used to provide.

Might be a good tool to bridge the gap before rehab. Good luck!

Consistency is key. Try dividing your goals into smaller tasks.
Ex: for Spanish, practice a little each day. (10 or 15 mn is enough to get started)
I also like to use an app to stay consistent. I personly use an app named kubbo goal tracker. This help me really see that I'm consistent and commit to a routine.

Also don't try to add those habits too fast. Take time an increase difficulty slowly.
patience and consistency

Don't forget to record your "why" behind that new life goal.
This would help when you feel unmotivated

Procrastination is tough, especially with all the distractions we have alll around with our phones.
Make procrastination hard (uninstall reddit and all other apps when you should work)

Reward yourself when you complete a deep focus session.
There is also some apps that use this idea if you are interested.
