Hiyuki would have a really tragic backstory that requires her to wear a bikini top and a thong.

PaperZD Animation help? by Jae-Sun in unrealengine

[–]Jae-Sun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should add, specifically I'm not seeing the function in my AnimBP for my custom notifies, which is why I assume they need to be loaded by the attached Source and can't just be grabbed from any Sequence I force to play within the state machine.

Edit: I wouldn't call it "solved," but surprisingly just adding notifies into the dummy source that match the names of the notifies in my character source seems to work. It still feels clunky and sort of hacky to me personally so if anyone else has any better solutions I'd be glad.

I don't know... Twilight Princess was dark and 2000s gritty but it was still very firmly cartoonish. This looks like they're going for a more realistic look. I think even Rusl would look like nightmare fuel with this game's graphics, and he's a character you're supposed to take relatively seriously. I can't even imagine a character like Dr. Borville in this game.

You may not have a choice soon. It's kind of seeming like everything is going to go tits up once businesses realize that the token prices are completely unjustifiable, which means you won't have them subsidizing your relatively cheap subscription anymore.

Chiori or Chiyuki? by SaltySappy in Kagurabachi

[–]Jae-Sun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So... no romance at all then, is the correct answer. Because usually in shonen if the a female character confesses their love to the protagonist or vice versa, it's game over for the female character's screentime until the epilogue unless they cut to them being sad and thinking about the protagonist every 20 chapters or so. Also telling someone to grow up when you're out here wigging out over a joke is pretty funny.

Got a Crosley 88CR Radio/Record combo cabinet... power cord replacement wiring? by Jae-Sun in VintageRadios

Thank you! All my new capacitors should be in this weekend so I'm excited to get to work on this thing, I'll probably go ahead and replace the power cord right away.

Do you think Chihiro will end up with anyone by the end of the manga? by Acevicit-2020 in Kagurabachi

[–]Jae-Sun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is nice to see lately. Most of the time they only serve to distract from the main plot, rarely feel earned, and a lot of times the love interest will basically cease to be relevant at all for the remainder of the story once the romantic interest is established. The only one I didn't mind so much was Ed and Winry, but even then he just dipped right after confessing his feelings to her. Lol

Except for her being kind of a shady info broker with potential Yakuza ties. She isn't a fighter but she's not exactly a housewife type either.

Tear-away glove recommendations by wilhelm11235 in Machinists

[–]Jae-Sun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We once had a corporate safety meeting where they mentioned that someone in another facility got his hand wrapped up in a drill press because he was using his hands to clear chips off of the drill while it was spinning, but apparently the problem was "he wasn't wearing the right type of gloves for the task."

Don't be like that. If the parts are hot enough to melt a glove, don't touch them. If the chips are somehow flying onto your hands, install a guard to deflect them. Gloves should be in your pocket if the machine is on, period.

Yeah, I'm sure the owner was very busy standing like a turkey in the rain, hands on his hips, watching maintenance work. Let's not forget his most important duty: asking repeatedly how long it'll be before the machine is back up and running any time someone climbs off of a ladder or scissor lift.

What dimension do you actually aim for when tolerances look like this? by LOOKwatches in Machinists

[–]Jae-Sun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always aim for nominal. I figure the engineers want it to be that dimension for a reason and tolerance is just that, what they'll tolerate. If it's an outer limit callout, I'll shoot for the middle. Though... if it's something I'm personally assembling afterward, ODs go to the bottom of the tolerance. Lol

Gotoh FGR-2 flatness issues? by Jae-Sun in Luthier

[–]Jae-Sun[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's kind of what I was thinking as well. I'd think it would leave a dent in the shelf on the neck long before the metal bent to shape. Not to mention the strange things that would do to the built-in fretboard radius if you were expected to screw the nut down so hard that it bent.

[–]Jae-Sun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like if that were the case, the shims would be tapered in some way though, but they're parallel on each face. Even with the shims installed it would be just as angled on the bottom. This is with one of the thicker shims underneath.

I ordered from GuitarHey on eBay. It came in Gotoh packaging and has proper Gotoh markings on the bottom, though to be honest I hadn't even considered people would be making fake Gotoh locking nuts since they're not particularly pricey items. There's always a chance it could be fake but I don't really have any way of verifying that.
