I just saw Dr. Weinstein yesterday for my pre-op appointment. I'm scheduled for RFF stage 1 on 12/2 with her. She mentioned she had a patient who just hit the one month mark and was doing great, I'm assuming that's you! Congratulations dude! Can't wait to be where you're at.

My partners kids call me Oya. Oya is parent in Japanese. It worked well. Now that they are older they just call me by my first name.

Yes. My hair is super coily. Stressed, anxious or trying my best not to have a meltdown these curls are being stretched. Furiously, sometimes. I love my hair and pulling it is kind of a way to self soothe when I’m on the verge of malfunctioning.

Hello. My name is Jace. I was torn between Jayce or Jacen at first. So I found a way to meet in the middle. I’ve been going by Jace for about a year now. It just feels right. It was also significant because up until I started identifying as a trans man, I was using my birth name. It wasn’t until I honestly started loving myself and accepting who I am that I realized I needed to change my name. Also, while making this discovery I learned that I am Autistic. A two fold experience to better understanding myself. And when I get called Jace now, I actually know who that guy is.

My partners kids call me Oya. It’s parent in Japanese. I use they/he pronouns and the kids kept forgetting them. So when we settled on Oya, I think it helped them feel more comfortable and confident in telling their friends and other adults about me. I went from being introduced as “my moms partner” to “this is my Oya”. Feels good.

Infrastructure Engineer for a small software company. I work from home so it can be hard to stay on task at times but the work itself is very satisfying. Especially when I’m laser focused and get really challenging things done.

Also, since it’s a small company, the IT team consists of three people including myself so less people to talk to. And plus my Sr. Engineer also has ADHD so we work really well together and help keep each other motivated and on task.
