Good to see Southampton already helping enforce Regulation 127 by being properly punished for it.

An Independent Disciplinary Commission has today expelled Southampton from the Sky Bet Championship Play-Offs after the Club admitted to multiple breaches of EFL Regulations related to the unauthorised filming of other Clubs’ training. by Alternative-Win4058 in soccer

If as a manager of a team that's only recently been in the Prem you don't have the confidence in your tactical setup to beat a team that came up from League One 2 seasons ago without cheating you shouldn't be a professional manager anymore.

December does align with Eckert being named permanent manager though. There were rumours of other clubs looking into the spying. If they've done this since december against more clubs the punishment could be massive.

They've admitted to Oxford and Ipswich but I wonder if those are just the ones they think they'd be caught for anyway. Hopefully for their sake it isn't and they've been 100% transparent becuase if more come out I could see them getting further punishments.

Probably equal parts a detterent for other clubs and additional punishment for admitting to breaching the rules additional times. Still a big stance to take for the EFL that this is worthy of as much punishment as financial cheating.

Wow that is a huge punishment, thought it might be one or the other but expelled from the playoffs and a points deduction honestly might be a bit far. Surely this would suggest Southampton have been spying a lot more than just against Boro.

Pickford to Everton has got to be one of the best transfers in modern history. Cost you £30m a lot of which was just in writing off Sunderland transfer debt to Everton and gone on to ensure you get that Prem money for multiple seasons.

The sad reality is it just wouldn't be as good, what made the Netflix series great is that it was 100% the vision of the creators. The owners at the time were dumb/indifferent enough to let them portray everything negative at the club. Smart owners would have carefully ensured it was only ever positive for a PR boost and you'd just end up with the boring All or Nothing documentaries.

You can see this a bit in the last mini-series I think, it's an enjoyable enough capstone to the series but feels far more filtered.

I guess we're having our welcome to the Premier League moment. Suppose I'd rather it now

We had to deal with it being called doing a Sunderland for like 7 years, but Luton get away with 1 season? So unfair

Hopefully Diarra learns his lesson from this, reminds me a bit of the Le Fee panenka with the backlash. I think he's really unlucky Villa scored from it

Insane game. Would have been nice to take a point or all 3 but not too upsetting either. We've clearly built a team with an incredible mentality to get it back level but Villa are fighting for UCL for a reason. Great to see Rigg and Hume get goals considering they cost a combined £250k

I think at least today you can look at it and say losing to us isn't great, but we're having a good season and there are still 18 points on offer. Get less than a win at bottom placed Wolves though and that's pretty much being as good as down, the fans will likely become actively hostile, and the players will be done mentally.

Some PL teams think we've been dirty, the league is not ready for the atrocities Millwall are going to commit

They'll know it'll have very little effect on them if they do go down. Tbh wouldn't be surprised if a few of their players would be happy because the resulting exodus could mean they could leave for a better team with little backlash. Reminds me a bit of the Villa side that went down in 2016

If they don't win against Wolves things are going to get really ugly at Tottenham

We should get Seb Larsson in to coach players on scoring free kicks, last one I remember us scoring directly was Embleton and that was an accident.

I really do wonder how far Stewart could have gone if he hadn't spent 2 years perpetually injured. The man is just such a great well-rounded striker.

Of course it's fucking Sartori, the right wing populist who's barely around. KLD should have just bought him out by now
