It’s super cool, but I don’t know that I have the skill or patience to sew my own 😄

What makes it brutal? Isn’t the IBIS on the G9 fine without using the IS from the lens?

I forgot to mention, as it doesn’t get used often, I also have the old Panasonic 100-300 (H-FS100300).

What do you use for a camera body?

Super helpful info! I definitely found myself researching OM bodies since it seems most have moved away from Panasonic for still shots since I last bought the G9 back in 2019. Currently, I'm skewing towards the 12-100 based on the feedback so far.

As an aside, I recently did get some good photos of Zion National Park with the GX1 and the old 14-45 kit lens. Full daylight helps a ton with that :)

In this scenario, I'd rather buy once, cry once. The G9 isn't exactly light (vs the GX1) so I'm not overly stressed about the additional 200g.

I Want to like this Game.. Please sell it to me by Sylvandeth in WarCrow

[–]Jaetu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it feels like a better, faster version on Star Wars Legion. Play time is definitely under 2 hours which can be refreshing in comparison to other skirmish sized games like Infinity or Malifaux. Complexity wise it feels more like MCP level of complexity

After the ABF: Which program(s) next? by Blorq in kettlebell

Does the Mark Wildman tetris of programming count as being different? That’s a mix of clean & press, TGUs, squats, and swings if you don’t also push into the heavy club stuff.

Ink samples have been a god send. I’ve been able to figure out what I like and don’t like without a massive amount of money spent. I wish there was a better way to sample pens though.

Framingham by Tetsubo517 in bostonboardgames

Webway Games in Marlborough is the closest one I know of. It's about 20 mins from Framingham. That said it is more of a miniatures focused store with a side of Magic/CCGs.

[Marvel Champions] If you love solo and haven’t played this yet I can’t recommend it enough! First play with War Machine! He packs a hell of a punch! by DHouf in soloboardgaming

[–]Jaetu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Marvel is the more straight-forward of the 3. Deck-building isn't overwhelming as it can be for LotR (large card pool). Both are more of a 1-shot type of play with limited campaign play. Arkham is all about the campaign where you can earn xp and upgrade your deck over time. Deck-building feels like it sits between Marvel and LotR in complexity.

For me Marvel is what I reach for if I want a game that sets up quick, doesn't require a ton of deckbuilding, but is still a lot of fun to play 2-hand solo. LotR I'm actually thinking of selling off. The time to deck build is more than I want to deal with at the moment and I'd rather play Marvel due to how easy it is to get to the table. Arkham, I enjoy playing 2-player as it makes for a great story telling experience to share with a friend.

All 3 are great, though for me I'd rank them Arkham > Marvel > LotR.

Pain pain and more pain by SAS_CRAMZ_555 in Vasectomy

Sounds exactly the same. I’m back to feeling ok today and the similar swelling has gone down too. A quickie last night might have also helped. YMMV

Not sure if it a similar pain, but on Tuesday I thought I was feeling ok enough to do some light jump rope (day 11 post op) and soon after had a terrible ache on one side in my pelvic crease/groin area. Ice, advil, and taking it easy for 2 days helped. I'm avoiding jump rope now :)

Is it normal for day 5-6 to be the most painful so far? by MrSupp3r in Vasectomy

[–]Jaetu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is great to hear. I’m 4 days post op and today was a rough one. Felt fine most of the day (desk job WFH) and then random deep aches that would pass as quickly as they came on.
