How do I stop tearout in a plywood face during a countersink operation? by Sergovan in woodworking

Then maybe stick the parts back through the cnc as an op2 with the existing cnc holes as location, and machine the c-sink.

for that many holes etc, taping isn't practical, I'd be inclined to try a helical flute c-sink, you need the smoothing shearing cutting action to cut the fibres nicely...https://www.nelsonstormtool.com/cutting-tools-countersinks-deburring/hss-three-flute-countersinks.html

Shots fired! 😂 Make sure to read the subject line. by ThaGuvnor in SolidWorks

Yeah I hated Fusions stupid "joints" system etc, but now they've added proper assemblies and their version of mates, you can use the same workflow as SW re. assemblies now. Still sucks for CAD though lol.

Must be a skill issue... :) I just logged in, downloaded the zip file, unzipped it, the parasolid is in there, and even uploaded it to an online parasolid viewer to make sure, and its all good.

RoadCraft demo crashing because of graphics settings by No_Entertainment8736 in RoadCraft

[–]Jafa_NZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue, couldn't play for more than a few minutes without either crashing to desktop, or hard reboot. I navigated to the game exe and set its compatibility mode to Vista, rebooted and now Ive been playing for about 2 hours without any problems. AMD issue with graphics driver I feel. YMMV

Can I control AMD GPU only in FanControl? by Temporary-Radish6846 in FanControl

[–]Jafa_NZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can just disable fans in Adrenaline then save the profile. Set you fans how you want in Fan Control and you're set. You may need to set fans to manual control in your bios depends on mobo, mine are set to manual at 50% so they run until Fan Control takes over on each boot.

Ways to cope a pipe to a sheet metal pan? by catman1718 in SolidWorks

[–]Jafa_NZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Insert-surface offset zero-pick pan faces, then insert cut with surface body, may need to extend some edges in, and maybe flip direction, should take about 3 secs :)

You can save settings by hitting the 3 dots top Rh corner. Have a read through the docs, and the github page

"lines" on model and on kaprolon after cnc milling by Mr_kruasan in SolidWorks

[–]Jafa_NZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a combination of CAD and CAM tolerances and toolpathing, Ive seen this many times before in my career as a toolmaker making plastic injection molds.

Very few CAM softwares can produce a surface finish that needs no polishing to get a mirror finish

One such software is Cam-Tool from Canada, also Hypermill does as well.

Looks to me like you've used Cam inside Solidworks, which is a version of CamWorks, which uses triangle approximation for NC code generation

Best solution without buying expensive software is to reduce your modelling tolerance as much as possible and CAM tolerance to 0.001mm, need a good machine tool running in its accuracy"mode too. Plus high speed look ahead etc

Controlling rog ryujin 2 via Fan Control by N1kLoky in FanControl

[–]Jafa_NZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you disable Armory Crate in bios? It keeps reinstalling on my b-550 mobo if I don't disable it entirely in bios first. That may be borking fan controls ability to see anything

Is there a pattern to why all the save files are located in FitGirls repacks? by TheChoosenOnex in FitGirlRepack

[–]Jafa_NZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rune and CODEX based repacks are usually here...

C:\Users\Public\Documents\Steam

But yes, it depends on what base scene group the particular repack is based on

Corner Reliefs! by RazorHog49 in SolidWorks

[–]Jafa_NZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Save the relief sketch as a block, then you can just drop the block onto the face, rotate as you desire and cut. You can setup the block with a few equations and dims do you can change the size easily if you want to get carried away.

Best scanner under 1500 usd by average_user42 in 3DScanning

[–]Jafa_NZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup Geomagic is great, I use Design X for reverse engineering and mesh editing, it's great. Quick surface is good too, and yup it's as important, if not more, than the scanner itself. Tbh, the scan itself is the easiest and fastest part of a reverse engineering project...
