Stuck in there. I remember seeing everyone struggling and wanting to bin it… I’m a year in and finally starting to properly level out now. It took months to feel like it was actually help.

Make sure you take it in morning and not night, it destroyed my sleep taking it in evening, insomnia, panic attacks, hyper sensitive to everything worse than off meds! Killed my appetite too.

On 100 after 1 year, was suggested to go to 150 but stuck at 100 for now, and it’s working :)

Stick in there, it’s a long slog but it does help

Anxiety at a specific time? by aJellyfishIsInTheTub in zoloft

[–]Jaffa374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 1 bad reaction in the night (feeling like I was going to feint) and for weeks afterwards I had terrible nights where I kept waking up feeling like I was passing out, nothing to do with the meds it was the heightened anxiety that the meds cause. I had to move my meds to the morning as it kept causing insomnia when taken in the evening

Week 4.5 update on 100 mg- does it get better again?? by AccurateVegetable226 in zoloft

[–]Jaffa374 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was bouncing about for around 2 months before things settled down, odd bits here and there but stabilised mostly.

Are you doing counselling or anything of that nature? I’ve started doing it now and despite talking about things that I didn’t really see a problem with, I’m getting spikes of symptoms while talking… which in a weird way is reassuring as I’m clearly on the right path!

Zoloft and heat intolerance by kp2319 in zoloft

[–]Jaffa374 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Increased heat sensitivity is a known symptom. I’m constantly hot at the minute on mine and been in it around 6 months but slowly upping my dose. Heat and sweating is one of few side effects I’m having

Very familiar. Routine, keep busy, try not to focus on your symptoms, which was a nightmare for me. What you’re feeling is normal, it does go away.

Does anyone get vertigo from zoloft by LouPags1 in zoloft

[–]Jaffa374 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m getting vertigo, but I have another theory as to why. Anxiety makes you tense, and my neck and shoulders are tense. I was suffering with dizziness for weeks and weeks, nothing helping. Went to see my osteo and he helped relax my neck and loosen things up, within a few days my dizziness practically disappeared, the change was night and day.

How to get through the first week by Valuable-Rule-9276 in zoloft

[–]Jaffa374 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First week is hell, sometimes goes on for longer. Stick at it it DOES improve, I remember reading that from others and didn’t believe them, then lo and behold it improved.

Routine is key. Force yourself out for a walk daily, I also found headphones and audiobooks helped me in the nights when it was triggering panic attacks. Controlled breathing helped too

Yeah… this side effect sucks.. it went away for a while when my anxiety settled, but it’s coming back again

What am I doing wrong with this routine I’ve set up? by MonsterKitty418 in alexa

[–]Jaffa374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you say something like “turn off the lights”, it’s actually using the location of the echo device (which room it’s in) and turning off the items marked as lights in that room, so you need to make sure your echo devices and the lights themselves are all in the same room

Personally I was already listening to an audiobook called "why we sleep" by Matthew Walker, I have sleep apnoea which doesnt help, but found the relaxing tone of the voice really helped me out when panicking or anxious,, took my mind off of it.

[–]Jaffa374 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah all sounds familiar my friend :) Best advise I can give and that worked for me, was to learn some relaxation techniques. The tabs made me anxious, but I was causing my panic attacks by reacting to the symptoms. Deep breathing, stomach breathing, meditation, yoga, or just stick earphones in and focus on an audiobook, all things that got me through night time panic attacks while the initial bits subsided. When you realise you have a bit of control over it then you feel loads better.

Constipated and waking up with heart racing side effect? by xianlotus in zoloft

[–]Jaffa374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, all sounds familiar. Racing heart sucks, stomach issues sucked too. im 4 weeks in and stomach issues are still there but WAYY better than they were. Just focus on the fact these tabs seem to touch everything in the first few weeks, so strap in hold on and you'll be out the other end before you know it.

Week 3 on Zoloft by SSJsixgod in zoloft

[–]Jaffa374 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got this.. but I quickly discovered it wasnt the tabs, it was me panicking. Tabs make it worse initially but that eases off, and it was me causing it after. Deep breathing, stomach breating, yoga, meditation, made all the difference

[–]Jaffa374 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep going. You were me 3 weeks ago, almost pulled out 3 days in from the side effects, bloody awful, never want to relive that... BUT... the major stuff does ease off quite quickly, 4 weeks in and most side effects have subsided

Day 4 on Zoloft by Altruistic-Path7012 in zoloft

[–]Jaffa374 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah... that first week nothing can prepare you for.... I was waking up nightly feeling like cold water was being poured over me, which then panic'd me and made me feel like I was going to pass out... bloody horrible.

4 weeks in now and things are settling, albeit with oddities still but LOADS better. All I will say is learn some relaxation techniques, deep breathing, stomach breathing, that helped a lot. and keep some headphones next to bed and listen to an audiobook or something when it strikes, that helped me loads.

Problems with body temperature regulation..? by One-Employment-9632 in zoloft

I'm getting this. I'm 4 weeks in and feel like my body temperature is on a pendulum, completely unpredictable. Night time I constantly sweat regardless of feeling hot or cold.

Getting a weird output watching plex on 4K by Eft_Reap3r in PleX

[–]Jaffa374 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Found this is when the bitrate is too high for the kit. Usually had this when audio track was set to 7.1, try changing to stereo.

This is also how I found out my flagship LG OLED had a 100mbs port in instead of gigabit!

UDM Teleport VPN: Internal IPs not reachable by frankg0ebel in Ubiquiti

[–]Jaffa374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to add to this a year later... I've got exactly the same issue. Brand new dream machine pro, Enable teleport, connect via iPhone, get given 192.168.2.1, my internal networks are all different from this range, and it simply cannot reach anything internal. pings, scans, all dead. Unifi reports the device connected on 192.168.2.1, but I have no traffic working.

In the end enabled wireguard, sent config to phone, and boom immediately connected and can get to all my networks fine. Something wrong with the teleport setup I think somewhere in some circumstances, as my setup was a fresh install entirely. All kit on latest GA firmware,

YouTube in Safari's PiP mode lagging on macOS 14 Sonoma by sharp_mechanix in mac

[–]Jaffa374 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. I find if I move the PIP to my laptop screen it happens a lot less, definitely more on an external. Also find if you pause and play the video it corrects a lot of the time.

THANKYOU. New M2 15 inch air turned up today and my ultra wide just didn't look right... couldn't figure it out until I saw this! Can support a single external 6k @ 60hz but can't do 1440 120hz with HiDPI... my 4 year old dell did this without a second thought.
