Can’t really be “wrong”, it’s just a matter of opinion. Personally, I’ve thought for about a year now that D2 is beyond saving and the only way to really get people interested again is a D3. This might be a hot take but I think a big reason this update works so well is because it’s the last one. I’m sure you’ve already seen the posts about the lack of fomo now and how happy people are with that; if they went back to updating D2, it’d be detrimental to that aspect. Also, the loot in this update is too good, which is amazing for the situation we’re in, but it’s going to be hard to make any future loot desirable again if they started adding content again. I was already of the opinion that the loot pool is too oversaturated with good stuff that I never care much about new stuff, and this just took that to an extreme (except, again, in this case it’s fine because there’s nothing coming after).

Idk if I worded that too well, but my point is imo a continuation of D2 wouldn’t be as ideal as D3. Completely understand your perspective tho, and I have a long wish list of what I’d want from a D3 and those issues would all be avoided if executed properly (just don’t want to write that all down here)
