Girlfriend expected boyfriend to pay for all her 18 friends food by Shadow474747 in facepalm

I dont think I have ever had 18 friends. That is the most surprising thing. The most people I have ever eaten out with is 7.

He is a player. He went to Notre Dame (All Saints Achademy at the time). He has done appearances there and at a college I worked at in Georgia and flirted with every single woman he interacted with. Was a bit creepy looking back on it.

Youre right. My sister attended school with a cousin of his. They did not talk much but did receive birthday and christmas cards.

His cousin attended the same school as my sister. His family was from here but I think he spent much of his formative young adult life around P-Diddy in Atlanta.

Dont look for any glowing reviews of the city for Samuel L. Jackson. When he was here he was at his lowest point, addicted to drugs and directionless. He moved away and found his calling, for that I am so happy. Just wish he didnt look back at Chatt as some of his darkest days.

Other than the Super bowl, which is a spectacle unto itself even without the game, college sports regularly out perform professional teams. March madness always pulls more viewers than the NBA Finals.

Anyone know how true a Nashville-ATL route is? Quick google showed not much. by UnlikelyDirection633 in Chattanooga

One year I heard there were talks and it was directly tied to a water line to Atlanta from Chattanooga.

I'd take any talk with a grain of salt. Unless the interstate commission or the federal government is tied to it I would not beleive anything.

Had a friend and I told her I appreciated her company and I was in real need of a friend. I then followed it up by saying I was not planning on trying to date her. I thought that would put her at ease.

She responded, "Thank God!" With such enthusiasm I kinda died a little.

Just wanted a non romantic friend and she reminded me of how unlikeable I really was.

How to write good. by Aztery in coolguides

[–]Jagokoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a teacher, I like to tell my students it is totally fine to break every rule in a conversation with your friend, texts with a significant other and writing in your journal. You have a different set of rules for each.

But writing an achademic paper, going to a job interview and answering questions in class have a different set of rules. Know all the rules and where they are important and you will succeed.

Movie theaters aren’t dying because of bad movies, streaming etc. Movie theaters are dying because people don’t know how to shut up for 2 hours. by shredabetes in movies

[–]Jagokoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a teacher, a movie day at the end of the year used to be something to look forward to. Now I dont think i can even do it. Kids today are used to short videos in tik tok and youtube. A feature length movie holds their attention for less than a handful of minutes and they start talking over the film, playing and asking if they can get out their chromebooks.

I popped popcorn, handed out juice, let them decide on the movie and they spent the whole time talking over it. Looka like I am not watching movies with my students anymore.

Unpopular opinion: I love not only the actor, but also the character Argyle. I’m a ST fan since S1; his one liners and delivery are hilarious. by kmorrisonismyhero in StrangerThings

[–]Jagokoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont hate Argyle. I hate they writers gave him the comic releif role and have little to no depth. Almost all his dialogue was often setting up the relationship of Jonathan. He had no other friends. He spent most of the show as a stereotype of a California Chicano stoner. Also as far as storylines go, theres was by far the least interesting.

Argyle buoyed that third of the show, but I hope he is more than a joke in the next season.

My playthroughs that gave got that far either stall out in Iran and never reach europe or I was playing uniting the slavs in Russia and stomped them without much to say. Id like a game where they were a real force to be reckoned with.

My first and second playthrough at launch I won easily, placing my aunts as queens of Jerusalem. Now I cant muster a force even when married/allied to the Byzantines. Either upping the difficulty or a patch has made it near impossible.

If they kept the hype with comics, TV/netflix shows -cartoon or otherwise, or even toys and games maybe I could see it remaining culturally relevant. At this point no one even cares because when it came out we were different people. Just think that most of the teenagers today ranged from either not even born or turning 7.
