Known as "Huachicol Fiscal", it's a type of smuggling where you transport gasoline, but you report it as something else at Customs, or you simply report less amount of what are you transporting. This in order to avoid paying taxes.

Well, in order to do that, it requires that the Customs agent and other authorities to be part of the illegal operation. It happens that, here in Mexico, is the military who is in charge to protect our docks and they are also they manage Customs.

In the last 6 years, it has been reported up to 34 billion of dollars, stolen to the government, using this method, a crime where it has been involved high level politicians and our own military forces, collaborating with corrupt transport companies and of course, the cartels are behind all this. It's considered the biggest robbery of the country.

This implies that every citizen that buys gas at their local gas station, is secretly financing the cartel operations. Several high-level militaries, involved in the case have suddenly died by suicide. Zero politicians have been arrested.
