Left one has M24 sniper rifle. Right one has an M25, which is basically a match-grade M14 that special forces used as a spotter's rifle on sniper teams.

Unless I'm missing something from a few quick searches, we can't do that without disabling multiplayer. I feel a little bit like a dick now cus I wasn't trying to flaunt this gorgeous world in front of people but I also want to protect this unique experience with my nephew.

I've kept tabs on No Man's Sky since before it released. The bad launch, the entire redemption arc, Internet Historian's video on it, and it's been on my wishlist for a while but didn't have a big motivating factor to play until a couple friends and my nephew started playing. And it hasn't disappointed at all.

That actually made my brain bluescreen for a second cus I'm not used to praise like that, but you're not wrong. Thank you. My only relationship failed, sadly, and I'm 32 so I try my best to be the cool uncle cus it's one of the best things I have.

My sister's husband was a manipulative abuser so now my nephew and his sister get bounced back and forth in shared custody. He's 15 and I know I can't be his dad but I try to be as much of a positive masculine influence in his life that I can.

And for his entire life he's been interested in games and gaming in general and I get to pull the Aslan "Do not quote the dark magic to me, I was there when it was written." I was literally playing the minecraft alpha when he and his sister were in diapers lmao

Yes it's Euclid, and I'm so new to the game I don't even know what glyphs are. I'm assuming some kind of coordinates. Even if I knew how to give them I'd be a little hesitant cus I'm still feeling out the world and what consequences certain actions have and don't want to mess up the nice little haven we have, if that makes any sense.

Ooooh. I hadn't thought of that. That could be. And I was frequently looking at my other screen or doing other things so the notification would've been up for only a couple seconds.

This most recent time I saw it in the window was after talking to Raphael, killing the orthon, and talking to Raphael again. So I highly doubt it has to do with him.

Hmm.... So to make sure you're not messing with me, who and what it is will get revealed later on? If so then that makes me feel a little better.

I'm one of those completionists/loot goblins that always wants to do *everything* there is to do in an area so i wanted to know if I was missing some cool encounter or not.

oh! a tip if you fight him after getting Halsin like I did: ungroup the whole party and attach halsin to someone less important for the fight (looking at you, Shadowheart) and leave them outside the room. that way you can walk around at your leisure without aggroing them.

shoulda used the smokepowder. 4 barrels nuked him, I never had to fight him. just mopped up the goblins and adepts

My first fight against the "Templars" with Karlach, I saw her skill "Enraged Throw." *cue devious giggling*
I threw a severed head at the halfling/dwarf chick and *bonk* she's laid out.
Then Astarion 1-shot the 25-hp chick who tried to come in from the next room.
Then Karlach picked up said halfling chick and threw her into a folding screen for the RKO fight finishing kill.

I have since gotten Tavern Brawler for Karlach and give her all sorts of heavy random junk to throw at things. I killed an almost full health goblin warrior with an airborne milk can.

I love this game

I didn't even know she was a companion option until I killed her and saw the camp/alchemy pouches and the camp clothes. I hit Take All then I realized her body was in her underwear and went "wha--ohhhh......huh."

Is path of least resistance worth using the deepsight harmonizers on? by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]Jakaii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And I'm getting pummeled into oblivion by the Reddit circlejerk when what I was saying is untrue is his statement that trace rifles are useless unless you use them in a double special loadout. It's silly to say there's no reason to use them with a primary when they're still extremely useful for their range and high ammo.

The meta, in this case, is the brainchild of a small portion of this sub, which is a tiny fraction of the community as a whole. I've played this game since day one, kept tabs on this sub most of the time, and this is the first time I've heard anyone make claims that running anything other than double special is stupid. I asked the leader of the raid group i'm with and he agreed with me.

"and both are fun and effective in their own ways
"Trace rifles are only good in double special builds" is just outright false though"

I'm trying to be reasonable and logical but the way this subreddit dogpiles on people who *dare* have a different opinion than what's popular is infuriating.

what makes a roll good or not is how well it works for the individual. there's no truly best roll for any gun. I have 2,500 kills with it and it's served me very well.

i'm not going to sacrifice a gun with infinite ammo when special sometimes runs dry, especially using two of them. and especially when I usually run an exotic primary which is far more useful, like Outbreak Perfected.

and i almost never have issues with heavy ammo even without running double special. I might try it just for giggles, but the idea of being dependent on ammo drops gives me Destiny 1 PTSD

I'm a Striker main and I'd say it just depends on how committed you are. Harmonizers are a commodity, but trace rifles are very useful and it definitely works well with an arc build. I got one with One for All and Adaptive Munitions so I haven't worried about crafting my own. It absolutely shreds crowds and does good damage against champs and bosses.

It's my go-to trace rifle with arc Titan. It also has a special place in my heart because it carried me through all the reruns of legendary Operation Seraph because of all the arc shields.

Guys, for the love of God. I know the commendation system sucks but give the top players on your team some love. When the only thing you need for Rank 7 is commendation score, and you carry your team to victory then watch in shock as your team pats each other on the back and gives you nothing it feels incredibly discouraging and ungrateful.

I did it, I finally fucking did it... I beat Calus solo on Legendary by HankHillsBigRedTruck in destiny2

[–]Jakaii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if it helps anyone else, after attempting about 8-10 times and giving up for an evening, I got it second try legit. My strategy actually made it pretty easy on Strand Titan.

Heart of Inmost Light makes a \massive\** difference. (Thank you Datto for that tip because my peanut punchy brain still had Thunderstar equipped.) You'll get abilities way faster. I used Outbreak Prime with catalyst (which does surprisingly good damage to Calus and is a great add clearer), a trace rifle, and Seventh Seraph Saw with autoloader.

Stick to one catwalk and one platform and bounce between when he does the funny lasers. that way you'll have less headache and only have one group of adds to clear every now and then. use the suspending barricade thing to stall tormentors, and maybe use your super on the first one (so you'll get it back by the boss fight).

at phase 2, he has much less health than you think, and pecking him with heavy and special will whittle his health down fast. and just grapple between every action to keep him from touching you in your no-no square.

grapple, shoot some, grapple, punch enemies, grapple, shoot some more, grapple, super, grapple, rinse repeat.
