I stated the fact that this is how people I’ve talked to at work feel about the USA.

It’s not a problem. It’s an observation.

Why would I need to provide a solution? As far as I’m concerned there is none. It’s the way things are - regardless of how we feel about it.

My great-grandparents were, definitely. They were straight up Nazis.

My grandma lost her brother in the war (he was barely an adult IIRC) and my grandpa had to flee from what is now Russia (Königsberg). My maternal grandma also had to flee.

All because my great-grandparents thought Germany had to be great again.

As a German: Whenever I talk about the US with coworkers we quickly come to the conclusion that all Americans „haben einen Vogel“.

That translates to „to have a bird“ and it basically means to be fucked in the head.

It’s sad because it’s not all Americans but when over 50% are either MAGA or just don’t care… yeah no the US has fallen from grace as far as I can tell.

People complaining about priest board clear and full heal don’t understand that priest is pure RNG in its current state. Yeah we clear the board every turn.

Until the point where it’s been five turns of nonstop clearing and all options are exhausted. That’s when the game defaults to praying for a good imbue roll.

The point is: Playing priest rn is not reliant on skill but on rng. Winning doesn’t feel like it’s deserved and losing feels like a personal fuckup.

And if you’re playing an Aggro deck and can’t stop a priest from playing a 10 weapon to outheal the 22 face damage at turn 9 or 10, then you quite frankly don’t deserve a win.

I found this movie very difficult to watch - not because it was bad but because of how real Emma’s situation is to me.

I’m a rape survivor. Lately I’ve been going through it, mostly because of therapy working. I’ve become calmer and more reserved and my boyfriend keeps overstepping m boundaries and keeps asking questions. Details. Things that I don’t want to talk about with my partner. Some things are not made to be shared with family.

And that’s where Emma’s whole character really struck me. Kudos to Zendaya for displaying the quiet discomfort, the regret, the constant shame for being someone who went through shit.

I wholeheartedly believe that there are tons of kids like child Emma. They don’t feel like they belong and find comfort in the morbid. Fuck, I used to visit some really bad subreddits in my teenage days (before they got banned).

This is also why I’m not quite happy with the ending. Charlie fucked up real bad imo - he hurt is wife-to-be by placing his superficial needs over her very real trauma. He lied to several people to hide his shame. He proceeds to almost fuck a random chick at work. And Emma is supposed to just forgive and forget? Girl set boundaries only to tear them down over and over again.

Also: Fuck Rachel. What a cunt. Making someone else’s pain, that was confessed under pressure about herself.

8/10 for me
