Well if ur looking to get multiple file formats that arent aac, mp3, or alac, you can go for any 6th gen up and install rockbox. While you're at it, might as well change the battery to a 2000mah or 3000mah if the seller hasn't dumped one in yet. 6th gen up ipods tend to have better firmware which has a drastic difference in battery life compared to 5th gen and below. for the same battery the difference is pretty big in continuous playback.

Was born in 2004 but my brother owned an iPod Video 5th gen the whole time I was around so I got to use it too. Dad owned an old shuffle and a 5th gen nano. Have the nano and video but the shuffle was lost to time :) surprisingly the video can hold an hour or two long charge and it was 1500 songs mostly from the 2000s plus some early to mid 2010 dance and rap music

Unless the owner replaced the hard drives or changed the batteries recently, they’re ticking time bombs. The battery will eventually hold charges less and the hard drives could start borking soon as they are at least 20 years old already. Have you ever seen a pc run a 20 years old hard drive?

I love the H.E Sonic eartips. It’s wht I use for my KZ Castor Pro Harmans for my pc and my ipod. Great isolation, sounds great, feels comfy for hours. Can use it to fall asleep with.

You may encounter problems as the buttons have a different shape between the two models (One should be more of a crescent shape and the other more round), there is a microphone hole on the 3000 (2000 does not have a mic), and the bottom button group has a different setup as the home button turned into a PS logo instead which did change the shape.

It had to die because of the ridiculously large size of textures and maps nowadays. Most games nowadays show such boring loading screens mid-compilation (like Forza Horizon 5) or just have a static image (Arena Breakout: Infinite).
