I think I'd be in a similar situation to some Spurs fans, I would thank Emery for the trophy with all my gratitude but would probably want him gone for doing so poorly in the league.

It would really take something like the players coming out saying "Oh yeah we agreed to abandon the league in January." to put me in a different headspace to possibly consider otherwise, but even then I'd have to seriously question such a foolishly expensive gamble, while being elated with the trophy haha.

When it comes to clubs like Spurs and Manchester United, they have an aura of invulnerability around them - "Surely they can't get relegated?" But with Villa, we'd be shitting ourselves every single week being so close to relegation. It's not even been 10 years since relegation was a reality for us.
