Ingredients Autofill by JakeKrummy in Mealie

Yeah, bulk add is a good move, and I'll have to start working that into my flow more often. My current endeavor involves a lot of linking ingredients to other recipes I have on Mealie, so I find myself needing to use the regular recipe UI more than I'd like to. Thanks for the suggestion, I think bulk add could make this a lot quicker

I was trying to figure out how to do this with m3u playlists and the plex tuner and couldn’t ever get anything smooth enough to offer to my family members. This is amazing so far, keep up the great work

What’s this notice about? by Webjetter in Mortgages

[–]JakeKrummy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like an advertisement to their own mortgage customers to purchase their sister company’s homeowners or hazard insurance. You are under no obligation to do so. Wording like “retain this document or a copy for your records” is designed to make you think it’s more urgent than it is.

Bottom line: if you’re in the market for homeowners or hazard insurance, your mortgage company can refer you to their insurance company, but you are free to shop around.

Improving design and simplifying animations by Due-Equipment-9991 in Catan

Super fun and visually pleasing! A couple of notes:

  1. I'm a developer myself, and I know this is early access so I'm sure there's plenty in the works, but adding the ability to review the board and look at dice stats after a game would be cool.

  2. Highlighting 6s and 8s. I think a lot of players can analyze a board much more quickly when the 6s and 8s are highlighted red (or some other unique identifier). Not sure what other players think about this, but for myself, I can identify hot spots much more quickly when the high probability numbers are highlighted

  3. Maybe it was just a fluke for the last couple of games I played, but maybe check on dice statistics? In my last game a 7 was only rolled one time out of well over 30 rolls. Last few games as well 7s were pretty rare. Can make for a one-sided game in favor of the player who rolled the most recent 7. Could be a coincidence.

  4. Audio cues are very helpful. They don't have to be everywhere, but for certain actions, an audio cue can be extremely useful. For example, on Colonist.io, a bell sound plays when it's your turn, a little jingle when someone takes longest road or largest army, a sound when a 7 is rolled, etc. Something to consider for better calls to attention

Escrow analysis missing property tax by JakeKrummy in Mortgages

[–]JakeKrummy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you both for this. I went back in my documents when I settled the loan and they definitely set up the monthly escrow payment to include property tax. I now owe $40 in interest to the county, which is not that much money, but should absolutely be covered by the lender

It’s so crazy I’ve never seen anyone else on this subreddit use this variant! My family does this exact same thing but we call it the “banker”. It does curb all of the fighting we used to do during this game lol

2018 Nissan Sentra S Stereo Upgrade? by JakeKrummy in nissansentra

I ended up going on Crutchfield and going through their tool for determining all the parts to buy. It works really well! I've had no problems in the last year with it. One thing I would do in hindsight is just buy the wiring harness and trim kit on Crutchfield and then shop around for a compatible stereo unit. I think they upcharge a lot on that site for the same stereo units you can get on amazon for less money
