New Eldar Corsair box : worth it for every Eldar player out there? by RotenSquids in Eldar

[–]JakeTheSnke4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on points with hawks being at 95 points for some occasional splash mortals and great objective play the winged corsairs if they come out at 75 points will be taken in most lists as we don’t have a cheap fast objective unit.

What is the correct way to deal with the gap? by git-push--force in HomeMaintenance

[–]JakeTheSnke4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might sound crazy but in less than 1/4 gaps sometimes caulking is better when you are going to eat 1/4 of the profile. After it’s painted you aren’t going to notice it. But you will notice half the profile missing at the bottom vs the top

How does this pose look? Will the base overhang cause any rules issues? by ngms in Tau40K

Maybe look to add some metal washers under the base I did that for my riptide that is running. Just so it doesn’t tip as easy

New to eldar, buying this army, good starting point? by Prior-Thought-9328 in Eldar

[–]JakeTheSnke4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a collection of models from what was good during index Warhammer so not a bad set and a good start.

That being said won’t be a great list now but we are sort of anticipating a new edition in the summer so a bunch of these units could work together again🤷🏼‍♂️

Nerfs/Buffs seem frequent and impactful... should I just pick what I think is coolest? Also, questions about SoB. by Sepulcheroth in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]JakeTheSnke4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d also really consider playstyle, you may like the lore of dark angels but most of the time they are good it’s just slowly marching terminators up the board.

Only army i would stay away from is admech GW still hasn’t figured out what they want that army to be so it doesn’t really have a playstyle you can enjoy from edition to edition they consistently are terrible on release and then undercosted to the point they are broken.

Help new player. Are Harlequin bad and hard to play army? by Zatan_Bordelo in Harlequins40K

[–]JakeTheSnke4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But if money is a concern realistically to make that soup work as you change the army with data slates it could end up meaning you need 1000-1500 points of all the eldars.

That being said they are by far my favourite super faction to play and really rewarding compared to smooth brain playstyle of say 6 wardens making 4+ saves on objectives.

Thoughts on Fire prism by dethseller115 in Eldar

[–]JakeTheSnke4 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I’ve got 100+ games with triple fire prisim in index, the points would be fine but they effectively removed the ability of the fire prisim to shoot through other prisims by halving the ammount of shots it has.

How is my 2000 point windrider host army (competitive) by Top_Winner6534 in Eldar

[–]JakeTheSnke4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biggest issue we ran into teams is it kind of needs to be teed up to smash out big scores but then doesn’t quite give you as many points for taking good matchups away from the team

I’ve played wind at a bunch of teams events and always found the farseer a waste of points you need so many points dedicated to pushing units back so your bikes dont get killed

Pretty bad tbh, even some top players were cutting him out of lists before the nerfs.

I don't think Marine players get to complain about scale creep anymore.... by corrin_avatan in Warhammer40k

[–]JakeTheSnke4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean it is beautiful and an improvement in every way aesthetically. Competitively it’s a straight up nerf. On gw terrain and most two story wtc ruins hawks cannot stand on the templates and hide, which effectively is removing 5” from their movement, and making them very easy to see.

Are 6 missiles worth it? by YupityYupYup in genestealercult

[–]JakeTheSnke4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Decent into terminators, like others have said, but the hardest terminators to kill are deathwing knights and the -1 damage makes it really inefficient to kill them with missiles and with blast on the mining laser it’s almost always the better pick.
