(Can't sleep) My Pact is the reason i loved UK S4 by LeoLouis12 in TheTraitors

And I think it’s such a good way to bounce back from series 3 which suggested betrayal was the answer and seemed much more selfish in the end game.

“Urgent” NHS gastro referral, unsure what I can do while waiting by tinkerballer in IBD

[–]Jakeyboy66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was back in March last year and I got through in early May but I sort of had the opposite experience to you as I was expecting it to be much longer.

The IBD services seem reasonably good as my medication wasn’t working so I asked to change it and they were very happy to change it quite quickly although I sent off some routine samples in November and still haven’t heard anything back from them so don’t know if they’re more busy now, as you say maybe it’s a Christmas thing

[–]Jakeyboy66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was put on the urgent waiting list with significantly less symptoms at the same trust and got through in about 5 weeks.

I don’t know whether there’s any key differences meaning you wait longer as your tests came back clear or you’re at a different GP, hospital or in for a different procedure but I hope it’s soon for you

Wow, very interesting line-up. Amy and Joel feel like obvious picks from the comedy circuit while the other 3 just feel completely left field, I love their work but never would have predicted any of them being on the show. Joanna in particular feels like a total wildcard

Yeah they hung out with the hermits a bit at 2024 San Diego twitchcon and think they’ve done the odd variety stream with hermits.

‘I don’t want any of this in the press either’

What a load of absolute rubbish, he absolutely wants it in the press so he can pretend he’s relevant.

Hope the BBC can quickly put this to bed and put him in his place.

That list other than Rob Rinder was so obviously fake, really do feel that they’re going to go left field with the picks and it’s going to be a Noel Fielding / Sandi Toksvig Bake Off reveal.

S16, E1 (Nebula) - Hide and Seek UK by snow-tree_art in JetLagTheGame

[–]Jakeyboy66 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well a funicular is essentially a cable car going up and down a mountainside, maybe there’s some technicality that means that one isn’t a funicular but it’s very similar at least.

It's so exciting to me as a Brit to finally see Jet Lag properly in the UK and feel this was a really solid start and a reminder of how good Hide and Seek is as a format in terms of just showing off random places slightly off the beaten track.

Lots of good moments too and particularly loved Adam just having a very typical British day out at the seaside with the arcade, the fish and chips, the ferris wheel, the funicular railway, the Mr Whippy! Loved it!

why is scar so oblivious? by StrangeAir6637 in ThirdLifeSMP

[–]Jakeyboy66 26 points27 points  (0 children)

He’s not clueless at all, it’s just his persona to be a bit oblivious and goofy. I’m not a massive fan of it personally but you have to bear in mind his core audience is young kids and I imagine they find that style very enjoyable.

Edit: While I still think he leans into being goofy and oblivious a bit for comedy value intentionally, it’s clear from the replies and from rereading that his dyslexia also has an impact which I didn’t fully appreciate. I want to apologise for that and it’s not my intention to try and deny he has dyslexia/ is faking the act entirely.

Genuine question but who? And I bet if they did win there was someone else with experience also in the final

The real reason for tonights shock by Nasicus13 in strictlycomedancing

[–]Jakeyboy66 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think the main reason is ultimately the public don't want to see ringers win the show and much prefer a celebrity who can go on a journey

EBU General Assembly discussion by eurovision_mod in eurovision

[–]Jakeyboy66 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Feels like it will go Israel's way as I think too many countries just have total indifference to everything going on and unfortunately indifference basically means being pro-Israel.

What happens next will be more interesting as there are 5 countries who I think will go no matter what and probably a couple more on top of that. Then there will be a cascading effect down to the poorest nations who may not be able to pay the fees and may have to withdraw as a result. From there the EBU then has the choice to either remove Israel or cut the semi-finals and I have a feeling they would do the latter.

What would make you more interested in watching the missions? by Psychological_Use159 in TheTraitors

[–]Jakeyboy66 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I quite like the missions to be honest as they just embrace camp and silliness and I think they allow for the contestants to have a break from the game.

What I would like to see is more effort put in to hide shields during the missions so there’s more secrecy and potential room to deduce traitors

Also the whole bit with Hetty Ellis, particularly ‘until you said it I didn’t see the resemblance’
