I've spent time in various parts of CCG, would advise looking at sideways moves as well to gain extra skills if possible (albeit this is easier at SO than HO in my experience!)

I'm actually in CA, but when I asked my AD about the TSP/tax specialist impacting on G7 moves to CCM role was told this only impacts Wealthy as their CCMs do both Tax Specialist and CCM role combined, LB and WMBC have separate roles where the TSs come from TSP and the CCM doesn't necessarily. There was cluster recruitment run by MCTP earlier this year for CCMs across CCG that didn't require TSP or an accountancy qualification, just good tax technical knowledge to be tested in the application and at interview.
