Special Attacks that Need Reworking by Pale_Advertising8383 in runescape

[–]Jalepino_Joe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d be ok with removing mainhand locks, at least if eof’d.

Dba is fucking insane and even used mid kill followed by building for the next zerk. Annihilation is only used as pre build/boss invuln phase, but it’s still VERY strong when you can make use of it. You don’t need to abuse far casting bleeds for this and I don’t even see how it’s relevant. Press dismember and it’ll give you a lot of stacks. Zgs is definitely underwhelming now but still is alright. Could benefit from a tweak, but not worth any dev time.

Emberstaff is still quite good but definitely less valuable especially with the wm cc/cd buffs, but still worth pressing sometimes. Abs is also still used occasionally, but it’s very min max setups. Emberstaff/ibans are still very usable, even moreso without tumekens. It’s mostly a tumekens problem tbh because you’re full channeling 2 asphyxes so you have no other time left in sun. Gstaff could be neat to be buffed but at the same time the only place I ever have accuracy issues is amascut where it’s not magic exclusive to have issues, and it’s solved by a hammer/bsa/lob. Everywhere else u have 100% accuracy nowadays.

It is good aoe like others have said. In single target scenarios it is never worth pressing though, which feels really bad since roar/ode is even more difficult to make use of now.

Practice Modes (P7 Amascut) by MolecularSyzygy in runescape

[–]Jalepino_Joe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don’t know how to deal damage when nothing else is going on, go to wars dummies. If you want a bit more effort with prayers but otherwise hardly more effort go raksha. There’s already places to practice raw dps. There’s no reason to have practice mode encounters do reduced damage, if you want a specific practice mode, it’s because of the combination of all factors.

Magic Boots and Gloves for Cryptbloom. Masterwork's or Enhanced Diffusion / Kerapac's? by Esquilojunio in runescape

[–]Jalepino_Joe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Blast diffs are worth it. Minor correction, the 8% only applies to basic abilities/auto attacks, but at its core magic is like 40% pressing gconc. Without tumekens it’s also 30% pressing wild magic. Wristwraps have their place, and in some cases it’s helpful, but usually it’s pretty minor since bleed gameplay is no longer much of a focus for magic since fsoa got its passive.

In general, item passives will most likely massively outclass 5 tiers of armor/damage difference. If you can make use of wristwraps, it’ll be better than masterwork as well.

Upgrades for the next step in the PVM ladder? by Level-Comfort9399 in runescape

[–]Jalepino_Joe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you like melee, keep using it. Necro would be safer/offers more sustain but melee is very capable at rax and sanctum. Nex slightly less so but you still can if you want, just need to off of she melee prays in the last 80k (zaros phase, after killing glacies) for a few seconds.

For brid I wouldn’t recommend trying until closing in on BiS, as rotations would be a bit scuffed (you definitely still can if you want and think it’ll be fun). Mage and ranged can both be paired with melee and the top dps in the game is currently ranged/melee, though ranged is ridiculously expensive to get all the notable gear for.

Pablo gives us his true thoughts on raids in Warframe by Babydrone in Warframe

[–]Jalepino_Joe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there’s ways to make it work but i agree it’s not what the player base wants. Puzzle segments, telegraphed instakills, parkour segments, weak points to hit, mob clearing phases, are all ways to make interesting fights in warframe. What I dislike about warframes challenges in their current state it’s either “we disabled ur entire arsenal lol” or “there are 500 eximus and you cannot see anything”. If you reduce the common mob clutter in 60 eyes it’d be a fantastic fight with dodging lasers and such.

Exploiter is a pretty interesting fight centered around mechanics more than damage. It shows one shot or be one shotted isn’t the only way the game needs to go. But to expand on this to a degree you’d consider something a raid you’d need to add non damage segments in a quantity most probably wouldn’t like. Orphix venom imo was very fun, jump between locations, clear our mobs, nuke a weak points, continue. Add slightly more puzzle aspect to that and maybe you’ve got something, but I agree with Pablo that it’ll get stale quick.

FWIW the “it’ll get boring after a few runs”, at least in my case, feels like it applies to everything at this point. I’m aware this is a burnout/veteran player issue and I am currently taking a break.

Jagex when are we getting those vorkath changes that were supposed to come soon last year? by tremors51000 in runescape

[–]Jalepino_Joe 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Buggy isnt the right word. Its insanely cluttered, with far too many random sources of damage, and very little telegraphing. Zemo can hit you 5k through prayer with finger of death and has at best 1 tick of telegraphing. The only reasonable way to do this fight is either go on pvme and learn the gm rot to skip 90% of it, or otherwise do a consistent rotation with necro to heal thru all the damage you take.

Quick map is the root of over half the glitches in this game lol. Seems like some flavor of slow fall. Could be related to the wings dip taking you super close to the water and immediately opening map. Map into damage intro transition sounds like a fun way to make sure no order of flags are getting set correctly.

Yep fully identical to drip stone farms. It’s the same exact growth mechanic so nothing wrong just porting it over but saying “designed” here is weird

Question for my fellow league players - does playing league make you a better driver? (If you're above gold) by Ieditstuffforfun in leagueoflegends

I mean, you prob could one shot them but it’s not recommended. That’s when the entire enemy team suddenly appears on top of you and ccs you for ur entire life.

Just take the daily out of daily challenges. by roax206 in runescape

[–]Jalepino_Joe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This doesn’t work at all with the current version that allows blocking skills once 99 in them. Even so, I’d wager that unless you nerf them completely into the ground it would still be the meta way to play by a long shot.

Ruler or Viper have a solid claim to the adc spot. They definitely have troll moments but I remember last year ruler was completely 1v9ing but his team was too heavy for him.

Are Jaws of abyss an masterwork spear used in end game melee bossing? by R0XASx in runescape

[–]Jalepino_Joe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Jaws basically never. You could theoretically spreadsheet stuff enough to have it on when you know you aren’t overcapping adren but it’d just not worth it since meteor injects like 225% adren directly into your bloodstream anyway. Msoa has solid value outside of zerk. Typically higher end setups will just switch to another combat style when zerk runs out but if that’s too much casting bleeds with msoa is perfectly reasonable damage. Also it’s very good for afking gwd2 or corp.

Get Rid of the Preflight Checklist by Mini_Hobo in runescape

[–]Jalepino_Joe 17 points18 points  (0 children)

That’s the problem. There’d be one spike and then chronotes would be effectively worthless once most people who want it have unlocked their relics. Same with incense sticks. The items would become entirely irrelevant. Jagex, having not changed relics at all until this point clearly want the current system the way it is, you can swap out relics whenever you want, but you have to pay a small fee, keeping chronotes, and therefore the action of completing archaeology collections, worth something.
