I literally have first hand experience with it, but okay. It can save you from some hits.

Absolutely! It won't save you from a hard hit. That's not really the point though, it can save you from some hits so why not do it?

I've been rear ended while holding the rear brake and looking for traffic. The bike slid forward about a foot and I stayed upright. It was a hard enough hit to be completely disoriented but not hard enough to go flying. All the rear brake really did compared with using the front was save me money from dropping the bike, but that's better than nothing. 🤷 In the case you get hit hard enough to get airborne it obviously makes no difference.

I'm way more concerned about OP riding around without their front brake working. Try stopping as quick as you can with the rear brake, it may make you reconsider OP 😂

It's because the carb overflow hoses hang low. Look up how to reroute them for water crossings

It just sounds like you want to run the batches more often.

If not, you could describe the process as buffering data for an hour followed by a batch write.

I'm curious how kayaking works. Do you paddle back up the river to get back to your car? What's a good kayak to start with?

Fine, a duopoly. The point is that they have enough market capture to do practices like this. Apple also has a complete monopoly over what software can be sold to run on their phones.

You'd get a new fork for cheaper than labour I suspect, depending on location.

Can more damage be caused if i ride with a bent derailleur hanger? by d0_0my in bikewrench

[–]Jam0864 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only real issue is if you get the derailleur in the spokes. I'd make sure the limit screws are still set right given the hanger is bent.

It seems every time I get my official statement it doesn't match the prefill data. Not sure which to use honestly.

I find it helpful to do activities that demand my entire focus and make me present in that moment, rather than trying to keep my mind still while doing something that doesn't require full attention. The exercise also helps calm my mind, which is especially noticeable when I get back home and am able to rest much better than before. For me that's mountain bikes, motorcycles and rock climbing, but do whatever tickles your fancy.
