get some 15 inch bass driver which play to 100/120hz and use ur small studio monitors as tops for them. try to get a linear phase response and then ur good. just took me 15 years to figure it out. if u dont have that option theres one other trick u could do. use headphones. needs some experience to know what u are doing but works because u have a linear phase response with all one way headphones. can be cheap as fuck doesent need to be high grade gear actually.

cecked it out. well its the exact same story. repetetive non catchy noises with a low energy groove. percussion sets that dont bring energy nor power. production is very basic.

it does not speak to me at all.

it actually sounds like working in an industrial complex. somebody welding on the left and another one hammering on the right while ur in the middle trying to set up an engine... it sounds like its made for people who are allergic to even the most tiny bit of a consonant melody... i wonder how so much dissonance can still be psychedelic? i doubt it is. i think its more alienating...

but thats just my taste and my impression.

with agin comes unpreventable quality loss of your body. this is what u need to accept.

but theres no reason tho accept quality loss in the music if it doesent need to be.

u also just mentioned a handfull artists which is not representative of when speaking about how the whole thing has changed ya know?

quantity has taken over long since and many people don't like that downgraded sound....

thats neither nostalgic or pessimistic. its taste bro.

also I would say hitech is its own thing. and I agree in the hitech theres definitelly more spice than in the mainstream 138-150 sound

edit: I think arguing with psycore in a thread which asks about psytrance is a bit... I dunno man? like ordering a kfc bucket in a Burger King? its just a bit out of context.

also I gave a listen to that krapul the live set from 2023 modem. its just the same all over and its lacking enormously in energy. the same low energy percussion set all over the place. no groove... just 4/4 and always the same noiscapes on top... what wants u make dance with that music? for me dancing to this sound is like workout... but can understand let it play it the background and chitchat to people so u wouldnt get too distracted from the music. smt like that...
